holy crap (same for SM and R2K), i got 17.357% and i had to answer yes to that "are you exaggerating to do better on this test" question. just how did y'all do it? i guess hating computers hurts me. though i did feel my exaggeration was justified b/c the test didn't do justice to how much i like to play with numbers/solve mathematical stuff. lets just say there have been 2 or 3 nights last year alone that i couldn't go to sleep b/c i couldn't stop thinking of certain number sequences or trying to figure out the pattern. and these are pretty much useless sequences/problems that have nothing to do with school or anything. like i said, that question didn't do my math geekiness justice. but still, 50% is insane.
The secret is having been exposed to many of the different subjects on the test. I was a math major at one point, but I work in IT (with computers), I read hundreds of books as a young'un, I was the ultimate nerd in intermediate school and most of high school, and I am a gamer as well. I am a multidisciplined geek!
I obviously cant speak for the other two, but imo, the reason I got high geekiness is dual-pronged.. First, I am an avid sci-fi/fantasy fan(movies, books,etc) In that section where it asks you to check all the authors you read...I checked most of them. Secondly, I am a techie...I work with computers and electronics and I actually love doing it. In most people's opinions, those two things are enough to make me a major geek....but Im cool with that..
