Lin = Hated by some NY Fans for leaving NYand LOHs Harden = Hated by some OKC Fans for not accepting Presti's offer or a few short of a max contract. Beverly = Hated by OKC fans period. Now we have Dwight = Hated by some orlando fans + Lakers fans. I don't think Parson's charm is enough to overcome all this hate.
LeBron still hated by the whole world! lol Thats why his sponsors dont even use him in commercials. its funny how ESPN is trying so hard to get people to love him.
We're fast approaching it, but I agree... NY, LA, and Miami are just too hateable. Now if we get Aldridge or Love and go all super friends we might be talking.
We must start an all hate line-up. Too bad White is not here. I guess we could sign McGrady to do this: Dwight McGrady Harden Lin Beverly
The Rockets were definitely one of the more beloved NBA teams by fans outside of Houston relative to their success. Mainly from fans who like the fast paced run and gun style. And because Houston didn't actually threaten the contenders. They were non-threatening. This upcoming season, if Howard is even just an average between his Orlando self and his Laker self, the Rockets will be a top WC team with a widely considered douchebag. So yeah, there will be quite a few fans watching Rockets games hoping we'd fail.
If we're getting some hate now, it means Morey is doing his job. All hail Morey for making the Rockets relevant again.
I think the Heat will remain the most hated, we are the most envied with Morey having proven that his analytics approach to the new CBA has given Houston the advantage over most other teams in the NBA
It's hard to dislike Houston, because the Rockets are a classy organization. Also, because Houston fans don't instigate the Nation as obnoxious. People are sore that Houston won the last two off season with earning the top talent on the move (Harden and Dwight). Houston now has a legitimate title contending team, but I think most people will respect the Rockets in hindsight, for the Rockets did this without tanking and without being regarded as an NBA darling city. Shows what hard work, patience, due diligence, etc. can accomplish.
