I really don't care about the Titans nor any player on their roster but if he is QB3 behind Malik Willis whom many on here has said is horrible.....that will say a lot about Levis
For one, I hate talking about or wishing bad for any other team or player, because it can easily happen to the team you root for......KARMA IS A MOTHER! I just think if Levis can not beat out Malik Willis, with both being young, it says a lot about him
All it says is that he was drafted where he should have been and all the first round talk was smoke and mirrors. Anyone who watched his tape could see he wasn’t a first round QB.
Falling in love with a draft prospect often ends badly even for guys who typically nail their draft projections.
We will see if Levis even plays his first year of professional football. Same can't be said about Stroud who by all accounts is earning his role as the starting QB of a professional organization and earning respect from veterans. But I guess keep banging the Levis drum. You don't have to worry about us because most on the board could care less about Will "how can I be more marketable" Levis.
Mills is at least significantly better than Malik Willis. I wouldn’t try that comparison if I were you. The fact is that if you’re a qb prospect that is coming into the draft at the age of 23+, there is a higher expectation for how polished you should be. Levis isn’t polished even compared to 21 year old prospects. Joe Burrow and Kenny Pickett were both older prospects with much more polish and thus they went in the first round. No one knows what will happen long term, but my money is on Stroud playing significantly more than Levis this year.
You act like Levis isn’t beating out Willis, Vrabel said on draft day he’s starting as QB3. Levis isn’t polished and he’s older, but he has physical upside that many do not possess. If Stroud doesn’t play more than him as the number 2 overall pick, that would be concerning to say the least
I must admit I was high on Malik Willis and wanted the Texans to pick him once he fell to Rnd 2 and then in Rnd 3 but once the Titans picked him, I really didn't care. Obviously, my assessment of him to date, was wrong. I thought ALL Texan fans felt like that! Once a player you liked went to an opposing team....ITS WHATEVER! I guess not.
One reason and one reason alone HLM wanted Willis. And no, no Texans fan should want Levis/AR to be better than Stroud. But it will be really bad if they are
Yes he has superior physical upside but so does Malik Willis. Physical upside doesn’t make you a better QB. The absolute freak physical upside QBs who are actually also great QBs is still a rarity even if it’s becomes a bit more common today.
Malik Willis was rated by many as a Top 3 QB and many NFL Pundits had him being taken in the 1st rnd. All we heard about Levis was he was the 4th best QB and some had him as the 5th best, behind Hooker. His draft stock was more widespread than Willis. So, I wonder why @cmoak1982 wanted him more than Stroud, AR-15, Hooker and Young? And why he's still talking about him? This thread should've been closed on Draft night.
This is missing context. A top 3 QB in one of the all time worst QB draft classes isn't saying much when comparing it to this year. Even watching their film, Levis has better college tape than Malik Willis.
First none of that is true. And Willis was 2nd in a terrible class. There was literally talk of Levis going first overall. Young was my number 1, Levis and AR were my only other choices in first round. But you keep on only supporting black QBs, bigot
I think you are missing the point! I wanted Willis at the time because he was rated as a Top 3 QB in last yrs class and I knew Mills was not the answer. Regardless of how that class was rated, I knew we need a QB. So I, as well as others, thought he could possibly be the answer for the Texans. Once the Texans did not draft him and the Titans did, I immediately stop discussing him, because he was NOT A TEXAN. Unlike Will Levis and @cmoak1982, he is still infatuated with him. Why is that? He doesn't bring up AR15, Hooker nor Young and it appears he is waiting in the weeds for Stroud to do poorly, so he can say.....I TOLD YOU ALL SO! WHY IS HE SO INFATUATED WITH LEVIS?
I can’t answer why specifically Levis. Physically AR15 has more upside and he’s younger. So his argument in favor of physical upside loses steam because he should have been championing both Levis and AR15 if he just loves physical upside.
