I don't know about everyone here, but I love it when he shoots those 3's. Barry brings a different kind of excitement to the team, which is one of the reasons why the Rockets bench keeps me into the game even though T-mac & Yao are sitting.

For Rocket last year, I agree with you because we were short of PF.
But totally different this year, we can beat them easily with our super powerful frountcourt -MSM combination and good addition DA.
I will see TD has no way in frount of Yao and Swift.

I think we can beat them in one or two games in the season, but in the playoffs, the spurs are better.

Hell yeah bring that s**t on! Tmac beat them on his own last season!!

In all seriousness, we can hang with anyone-and the rockets should not fear any team-man i can't wait for the season to start.

We have exactly what we need to get a 50/50 chance in a 7 game series... I think the Rockets defense will be alot more solid so when parker and Ginobli come down in the middle, Stromile will send to the cheap seats... We have a great team from the start of the season and I see a #2 or #3 seed going into the Playoffs! Chemistry and Hellacious "D" from the start til the FAT Broad Sings!

If Riley can pick up Michael Finley then he will have had a hell of an off-season. On paper Miami would look to be able to win it all but it reminds me of the NY Yankees who spent all that money on all their collective superstars and they might not make the playoffs this year.

Chemistry is an elusive thing and the Spurs have proven that they have it, they all know their roles and are all willing to play hard nosed defense. We haven't proven a thing so I would say the jury is still out on whether we are ready for the Spurs, I can't wait for the season to start though.

I think the question is, who's going to contain Manu???

T-mac and team defense. Frankly I'm not that worried about Manu. He's as likely to have a monster game as a hum drum performance. 30 pts one game, 10 the next.

What's there to be honest about. There's a reason that Manu's scoring average last season was 16 ppg. He had as many games in the playoffs scoring 25+ as he had 15 pts or less. He'll dazzle you one game and the next game he'll give you "Eh".

His inconsistancy kind of reminds me of Yao. Except that since Manu will throw in an exciting driving dunk every now an again, he makes Sportscenter a lot more.

His contributions to the team isn't quantifiable by points.... hustle play. etc.. he is not only an NBA champ, he is the best basketball player in the whole world having won NBA and Olympics in the same year.. it's his heart that makes his team a champion. He is consistently a champion.

We are the 2nd best team in the west now, but we need somebody who's got like Manu's heart to be able to beat the Spurs!!!

Manu is excellent, but Tmac is younger, taller, more athletic, just flat out better. I expect Tmac/our PG to pretty much cancel out the effect of Manu/Parker.

It will boil down to who is more efficient and effective between Yao versus the Spurs centers, and TD versus our PFs--that is where this match-up will be determined.
