Are we just going to ignore the play of Garrison Mathews?

Neither will I. Garrison's hard nosed attitude on the court, that "edge" @D-rock mentioned, assuming he keeps getting minutes (no sure thing with Silas) and hitting treys at a good percentage, will make him a fan favorite, in my opinion. Rockets fans have always had a soft spot for guys who play with an attitude, and back it up on the court.

 

From that left corner he should let fly at least 5 times a game.

And his form looks good from top of the key too.

 

I’ll admit I was at first . But I can’t now . Dude has brought consistent energy and shoot pretty good .

theres all kind of coaches and GMs...many of them are incompetent... eg silas an stone dont play the guy that would of won ROY easily if they would just give him the minutes on a tanking team...its more mind boggling than mathews slippin tru cracks

 

He's getting noticed now I feel. Think it was a post game for celtics, they were complaining about bad shooting on their players, then out of the blue, one guy mentions how Garrison is doing it well for us in HOU.

Yeah I can get how just pure shooters can slip through the cracks, if they don’t offer more than just shooting (although I think that should be a premium), but this kid just turned 25 and has some game to him. 3&D with good to great athleticism and the right mentality.

Seems like him, Tate, KJ are pieces for a contender. Need the young guys with potential to turn into the lead dogs quickly
