I have been reading conflicting reports from different forum and sources. So technically, what place are we in??

We are in 8th. (at least I think we are) http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/matchups In the event two or more teams are tied in the standings, a series of tiebreakers are applied to determine which team receives the higher seeding. Two-Team Tiebreaker 1. Better record in head-to-head games (tied 1-1) <strike>2. Higher winning percentage within division (if teams are in the same division)</strike> 3. Higher winning percentage in conference games (HOU 18-13, DEN 17-14) 4. Higher winning percentage against playoff teams in own conference 5. Higher winning percentage against playoff teams in opposite conference 6. Higher point differential between points scored and points allowed
good find dadakota, since i was pretty confused how tied records are handled now why is golden state ranked above denver with equal records?
Actually, scratch that. We've got a 3 way tie (GSW, DEN, HOU), don't we? In that case, these rules would apply. Too lazy to figure it out: Three-Team Tiebreaker 1. Best head-to-head winning percentage among all teams tied 2. Highest winning percentage within division (if teams are in the same division) 3. Highest winning percentage in conference games 4. Highest winning percentage against playoff teams in own conference 5. Highest point differential between points scored and points allowed
It doesn't matter. After the allstar break, Denver will play Boston and GS will play Utah. As long as we keep winning, we will within the top 8 soon.
Man, it shows you how tough the West is and how big of a hole the Rockets got themselves into. We've gone 17-3 in the last twenty games and have only moved up one spot in the West! That's crazy!
I know sports are supposed to be competitive and all of that other stuff. But I wish GSW would just fall off the earth right now..... This season will be horrible, if we win 50 games and don't make the playoffs.
It's kinda sad cus if someone told me that I'd be happy getting the 8th spot at the start of this season, I'd laugh and spit on their faces. But..... WOOO HOOO!!!
