Harden has improved immensely since last season. He's 1st in defensive win shares, 6th in Off Win shares, 2nd in overall win shares, 4th in PER, 1st in scoring and generally just putting up some monster numbers. I know James is still young, is this his prime or (scary thought) how much better can he get?

I would consider last year as the beginning of his prime. Hopefully he continues some gradual improvement over the next 2 years and then reaches his peak and plays around that level for another 3 before starting his hopefully slow decline.

99% we are, if it wasn't his prime then we're looking at a Lebron level player when he reaches it.

I doubt it for the following reasons:
    - Harden is ONLY 25 years old
    - He recently started to add a post game
    - His game itself does not rely on athleticism
    - At the foundation, he is a shooter and shooters last longer
    - At this point in his career, Harden has averaged less minutes than Wade, James, Durant, and Bryant

Forgot to mention that I believe Harden will enter his prime in a couple of years as he becomes more a better leader and incorporate his post game further.

I am expecting 2-3 years before Harden starts to hit his prime.

His peak will probably in about 2-3 years, right now he's in prime (first year).

He can still improve a lot!

Next step would be to develop his post game more. He is doing some right now, but if he can develop that more, he will be virtually unguardable.

This guy has a chance at being a top 5 SG of all time! And the thing is that he actually wants to be the best! So lucky to have him in this time of his career.

This is his prime and he's locked up 3 more years.

Rockets need to ride this horse.

Harden will be good for another 10 years barring injury.

Houston will be relevant for a long time.

yeah he has to kinda be at least in the start of his prime to do that.

what is a prime 5-6 years so this year one, peaking in 2 years and then whatever happens after that is gravy because he will already 2 rings by that point ;)
