    Rockets,

I can understand that and I have no problem with that....

This thread was started for any all PLAYERS fan no matter if they are Yao only, T-Mac only, Ron only or whom ever.... There's a difference with starting a thread about the way the team played and about your favorite player.

Also, fast starts usually mean very little in the grand scheme of things, I think it would be much better to peak somewhere around Jan to Feb or late March or April with everyone healthy.

I was one of those crazy people who said that Yao and/or T-mac should sit out, if they are not 100%, it's not like this team is going to fall 3-15 or something. This team proved it could win with out of its stars in regular season against pretty much any team in the NBA, except Boston. Last year, we were at the tail end of the playoff picture from about late November to mid January.

Sometimes you lose games you should have won. It happens. How do you think the grizzlies win games?

yup thats right the big picture..this rockets squad is built for the ultimate goal and they're still working on it.the point is they're willing to learn and are working very hard.they need our support as fans and its too early to really be "b****in" we are 1st in the division because other teams arent playing at a really high level right now.just like us the hornets for example are still trying to find themselves and have been inconsistent, the spurs are hammered by injuries, the mavs still have a lot to figure out.despite being only 6-4 after a really hyped offseason and still no.1 we're really still lucky and we have an advantage already...this team will only get better but it will take a little time..and we've already seen what this team is able to do..in spurts at least for now.

There is a fine line between random b****ing and constructive criticism.

DaDa doesn't think Rafer Alston is a good point guard. But he doesn't go around making up stupid Rafer Alston names or demanding r****ded trades. He explains his reasons why he thinks Rafer is no good and is open to intelligent conversation otherwise (I think ;) )

And I don't get why dakeem1 has his/her panties in such a bundle. If you have a right to criticize the players then other fans have a right to criticize the b****ing. Also, what does it matter if you consider yourself more hungry to win the championship? You're not the one playing. We can only support the team by showing up to games and cheering (I'm not talking about the Toyota Center quiteness on this one. I just mean in general).

And no i'm not being a hypocrite. People have a right to b**** randomly on this forum. I'm not telling anyone to stop. But if you can b****, you can get b****ed at. All of you who thrash on the team with stupid comments shouldn't get all uppity when someone calls you out about it. After all, it's their right to do so...until Clutch says otherwise.

Also, games won in November are as important as games won in February, or March, but they aren't the same indicator. If we're playing this bad in March then you know it's over for us. If we're playing this bad now, we have plenty of time to get it together.

For those of you "counting games", the only reason you would do so is because you're scared we won't make the playoffs. That shouldn't be a concern, so what does it matter if we let a couple slip through the course of the season. The only way it will come back to haunt you is if you get stuck with a bad matchup but so many things can happen there to change that PLUS it's all after the fact anyways.

Just sit back and watch the team. Support them. Critique something you see wrong or point it out, don't b**** about it. Of course you don't have to. You can b****...as long as you don't break forum rules.

Even though we aren't playing at our best right now. When was the last time we were in 4th place in the west 10 games into the season? Usually we start out in 10th and crawl up the latter to 4th seed late in the season. The fact that we start the season over .500 despite a tough schedule could mean that once we get to the easy parts we'll be able to build a big division lead.

t-mac being out almost the entire preseason and still looking very slow is a HUGE reason why we're not rolling teams like the celtics did immediately. if yao had his stamina and mcgrady was 100%, we'd still have chemistry to work out but we'd probably be 8-2, if not 9-1, in the meantime.

Honestly, though. Take away the two "lucky wins" by Portland and San Antonio, and we ARE 8-2. I'm not really that worried about this team because there is NO WAY Artest, Tmac and Yao all shoot that far below their averages all season long.

Who said i never praise the team?
Read my previous posts. I'm very happy and cheary when we win. And i DO see good in our Rockets, however that doesn't mean I don't see glaring weaknesses that we are yet to address. Weaknesses that MUST be addressed or we won't get out of the first round again.

It makes me angry when I try to defend the Rockets to my friends. I tell them we still don't have battier back, etc etc. What do they say? "Your Rockets have injuries every season. You guys make excuses all the time. It doesn't change the fact that you hacven't gotten out of the first round in a decade."

And I'll tell you what? They are totally right. I really wish I could sugar coat everything, but what's the point? We can't keep making excuses because more excuses will come along and more first round exits.

ps: I overreacted about what i said (ie. the line u quoted). Sorry. I was just really fired up at the time about the original post because I thought it was ridiculous how he called 60% of clutchfans "b****ers".

No one here intends to maligen the rockets and we'll never even think of that. I hope to keep silent when we lost some bad games but I just couldn't help figuring out our team's short comings and the points need to be fixed.

We are all pretty pleased with AAAron Brooks who played incredibly great in recent two games,(in fact he had performed great in all the other eight games as well) but we were all frustrated by Rafer who had just played one good game, right after which we was involved in a crawl and suspended two games. However, I appreciate his being suspended as a chance for aaron to take his place.

Compared to Rafer, Tmac dissapoints us far more. I bet her injury has not been fully healed, I hope that Ric will sideline her for some games. Never give her any gametime until she gets 100%, because what she does on court is more negative than positive. Ron played pretty great this season(It's lucky and incredible that he didn't play a part in Phoenix battle.) At least he deserves his 9m/yr. Yao's lost his jumper and missed a number of dunks.

Aaron Brooks performed pretty good past 8 games not including vs Spurs and Hornets ,when Rafer played badly, many of us put forward the proposal of Aaron take Rafer's place as our starting PG,but latest 2 games his performance disappointed us,at least disappointed me.Take the place of Rafer is a good proposal, and I still wanna AB become our starting PG someday. But his performance reflected that he is better as a SG,not PG.His offense appetite is so strong, even too strong.Adelman's system need players do a lot of movements, though have no ball at hand, but something pity me much,we still use Jeff Van Gundy's offense more, not Adelman's.

I'd completely agree with you if they complain about the Hornets game. But if you read the thread carefully again, they are arguing about Yao's number of touches in the final minutes of the Spurs game. It's hostility that carried over from the previous game and none of the guys on either side can let go. It has nothing to do with the Hornets game. That said, I think they need to stop too.

I don't agree with everything that the OP said (read my above post). But your post is moronic and you deserve to be banned because of it.

    Good post.

There is a big difference between constructive criticism and flat out bashing the players every time they make a mistake. These players make up the team we love. Constantly calling for Adleman to be fired, Yao to be traded, T-Mac to be benched...it gets old...and it's ignorant. None of that is going to happen. This is your team this year. If you don't like it, check back next year.

I'm also curious if age (of posters) makes a big difference in the attitudes here. Some are so used to immediate gratification that if you don't get what you want now...then the hell with everything and everyone and it all sucks. I'm sure it's not quite that simple, but I wonder if SOME of the younger posters are more likely to b**** and moan after every bad play.

I'll wait for Shane to come back and then give them a month to play together before I make any serious judgement calls on this season. I do seriously believe that if no one get seriously hurt. Once they play a little more together things will click and we will see a really fun team that will win a bunch a games.

I do have once concern though, why does Aldeman still puts B. Barry out to play minutes game in and game out. Dude plays not defense and he has hit how many three pointers? Like maybe 1 or 2 since the who season. I say put Wafer in his place, at least the guy can shoot!
