I agree. One year rentals at DE that require us to bench Will Anderson or Greenard don't make sense to me, and will hinder their development. DT is the spot that require the most help, but I don't see good proven players there potentially on the trading block. A couple of DTs with expiring contracts on bad teams that can help are Bilal Nichols and Greg Gaines. Big bodied DTs that have some pass rush ability, but I know nothing about them.

If he wouldn't do the extension then there would be no deal. Reason for signing an extension would be that he would want to play for his hometown team for a fair market deal.

Houston should approach New Orleans about trading for Chris Olave. I think he's miserable in New Orleans. He and QB Derek Carr do NOT get along. Olave was just arrested for dui. I think reuniting Olave with Stroud would do wonders for Houston, and Olave.
Next year's first from Cleveland, the only first we have.

The Texans are not giving up Cleveland’s pick for a guy that just got a dui.

I don't know about it being a DUI. I read he was driving recklessly at 70 mph in a 35 mph zone. Sounds like a guy who cares more about cheap thrills and showing off than avoiding putting others in danger or following the law. He also tried to use his "NFL Player Privilege Card" with the arresting officer.

Just finished listening to Patrick storm Twitter spaces and he mentioned a little nugget about the Texans being a buyer at the trade deadline and said Nick is even trying to acquire multiple players…and said one player he didn’t say who has already agreed to a extension if the trade does go down and said it is and IMPACTFUL player

He also made a comment at the end and said…one player might be coming back on the plane to Houston after the game on Sunday…

Has to be Jackson their CB. Texans keep signing and releasing CBs to their PS every week hoping one sticks. It would be easier to just acquire a good player through trade. And I didn't like those comments about Stingley being brought back til December.

There are way too many variables beyond sack totals to evaluate this.

i trust the DeMeco - Caserio Team.

I hope we're pleasantly surprised at the trade deadline. It's been a while since I've had a Luhnow fix. But the trade with the Mets for JV is right up there and I'd love a little Caserio Magic too.

Jackson isn’t a pending FA who needs a new deal the player that’s storm was referring too had said the particular player had already agreed to a new deal of trade does happen to go through.

I think the player and team would have to have gotten permission to talk ahead of time in order to make such an arrangement without it being considered tampering. Who has received such permission?

Really off base comment deleted. I was confused.

FYI, I confused Corbin and Marshall.

Young has a Stingley vibe going. Good in those rare games he can stay on the field. Discounts are a REQUIREMENT.

That sounds like Marshall to me. Already reported to have been given permission to seek trades. Should be about a 6th round pick in value. Perhaps throw in Chin with his injury just to take him off the panther's off season table of concerns.

There are core players and there are depth players. I'm fine with additional depth/potential players as long as they are valued properly. Our IR and inactive list is pretty long. Somebody need to be ready to play.

I think the value in higher quality is in the off season. Then the middle level players are competing to interest teams that have wasted their resources and have little cap space available.
