I think tonight's game gave a resounding answer to this thread.

NO, we are not better without Yao, that's crazy talk.

We aren't winning Championships with Hayes as our main Center...I love his hustle but he's just undersized and Bynum beat the hell out of him tonight.

    What are you talking about?
Without Yao, we are a better team.
If Cook = Yao, we need to trade Cook to become an even better team.

    One thing is certain.
ROX is betther without all u stupid guys.

YAO never got even a little resepect here.
even he led to second round.

i can't believe that you guys considered it's better without yao?

if u want to do something in the palyoffs, you must have a good center.
jump shoots can't bring a ring.

and i also think YAO's D is seriously underrated. the statistic may cheat your eyes.if u watch the game,u will know, when yao stand in paint, every opponent will hesitate before he drive to the rim.even LBJ.

    YAO is always a TARGET.

as a YAO fun,i am very disppointed at your reacions.just sevral days befor, you still called him a true warrior.

and what u say about MLE/10 million shocked me.i deeply doubt if u guys are realy bb fans.it is amazing.
    incomprehensible

Some T-Mac fans thought that if they can slander Yao, it's better for their idol.

You really should exercise more in your junior period.
No matter, it's not too late yet. Just learn from others and correct your problems. Things will be better.

When the shots aren't falling, you need a big man inside to get you guaranteed buckets and to get the other team into foul trouble so you can earn points from the charity stripe. You can't expect our boys to shoot like they did in Game 4 every single game. This is exactly why Yao Ming is so valuable.

7-foot franchise centers who give you 20/10 and shoot 87% from the line are a rarity. You people need to appreciate what we've got. This team can survive without Yao and it needs him in order to thrive.

With Yao out Lakers took things way too lightly. So lightly infact Bryant didnt even came to play. Like Battier said, they played like they had nothing to loose and when you play without pressure, we all know how things are so easy. There is still a chance for rockets to go through, however bleak it might look.

I just feel so frustrated with Yao. Rooting for him has taken few days out of my life for sure but he didnt ask me for it. I understand how rockets fan feel. If you had Bryant or Lebron in place of Yao this wouldn't have happened. But then Wade has problems too and so has T-mac.

It's set in on me that injury is going to be a problem in Yao's remaining career. I hadnt opened up to it till now. He needs to be treated as a special case as in limiting his minutes no more than 30 mins in regular season. Rest him few games when you can afford to. Cut down on Jogging, cycle/swim more. Practice smartly and better time management when he's playing. Coach plays him like he's 6'7 and this is the result.

As far as giving Yao max. Give him what he wants or trade him. Either way Im not going to be upset. Like I said before if income is the only thing Les wants him here then he has to seek a trade. That way rockets can go for players without injury curse. Yao can go start a new chapter. Should both parties choose to remain together; I need not say further.
