    To be honest i think we aren't a better team with out yao. But I think during the clutch we are better with out Yao, this is the time when Yao is his most tired and usually his efficiency level for scoring goes down, his energy levels are down, so the team has to play to his speed.
    If you look at tonight in the last 5 minutes we looked like we had a lot more energy and we were able to protect a lead but also build a lead.

    Fact is we need Yao but the question is do we need him in the last 5 minutes of the game?

    Somebody else brought this up, but uh... NO. It's only one game. Dude. Chill out. 1. They will start to figure out players like Wafer. 2. NO does not have a legit low post threat.

    Yeah, not only are we better without Yao, we're better without McGrady, Artest, Scola, Landry, Brooks, and even Adelman. Let's just get rid of everyone and we'll be #1 !!!

    Of course we are. We are better without Yao, Tracy, and Ron! We should get rid of them all and play with strictly role players. Superstars are overrated! :rolleyes:

    one games doesn't make sense. just vs hornets with a stupid uneffective center named chander who fooled out tonight.

    yao is great.. the point is how we make full use of him in the paint with more effiency.

    exactly. we're better with yao obviously. but we aren't that worse off without him. i mean, nobody would think we would choke tonight down the stretch.

    like i said, sometimes, adelman feels like he has to depend on yao way too much when really he doesn't have to. if artest was a little smarter today, we easily shoot over 50%.

    We are better in certain areas, but overall you need Yao's offense efficiency and attraction of double team down low.

    What we need to do more of is when Yao kicks the ball, don't just take the trey. Pump it and make it, take it to the hole.

    The Spurs were doing fairly well without Duncan, and the Celtics are continuing to win without Garnett. Obviously, they're better without those players...

    Sorry. I just have to come in to give you a one-star.

    Do not jump on-and-off the bandwagon too frequent, 'cause that might sprain your ankle.

    06-07 - we were 22-14 without yao -> 61% (if i remember our record correctly of 52-30)

    07-08 - we were 19-8 without yao -> 70%

    08-09 - we are 2-2 without yao.

    just some stats for those who want them.
