Before someone else starts this thread let me say no, but sometimes I think we are more entertaining to watch.

During that second quarter when we were playing motion offense it was beautiful to watch. Not so much with Ron dribbling, but this is a huge win.

we are better defensively without Yao and with Mutombo.

also we're probably a little more efficient on offense.

our bench is always entertaining to watch, but our starters are definitely worst without yao. when u have artest/brooks jacking up shots, u know its a bad thing. good thing brooks hit them early and artest hit them late... but we dont always get so lucky

not to mention, it seems like we have to play 300% to pull a victory without yao....

No, we're not. But more than any other player, he changes the way we play. Some guys do get some more freedom in the offense when they don't have to devote so much effort to getting the ball to Yao. That can open up some things on the offensive end. We saw it last year during the streak, and we saw a little of it tonight.

LOL. I called this thread to a friend of mine after the game was over. In the OP's defense he did say no.

    it's inevitable, isn't it?

When we win this game, it's are we better without Yao?
When we lose, it's do we miss T-Mac?

Same people, same topic, different night. Over and over. Again and again.

we aren't significantly worse without Yao like the Magic would be without Dwight Howard. Deke fills in more than well. He's probably the best defensive center in the NBA starting or benched.

We are better with Yao , no doubt. However, there is something to be said for the record without Yao.

We are a better defensive team and we are waaay more mobile without Yao.

When people (mostly on this website) say Yao is a top ten player .....I laugh  .

Clutch time, yes because we try to force the ball to Yao and is a liability on defense.
