One game dude. Took one quote from the coach and ran with it. Yes he brings energy but that energy got him sent to the D league. And early on his man was getting the rebound.

He wasn't sent to the D league as punishment, he was sent there to get some playing time. Also it's not just one game, that's how he plays. He's still a rookie, so sure he'll make mistakes from time to time, but I'd much rather see him out there making those rookie mistakes than seeing Jones make those same rookie mistakes still while not providing any of the energy and not ever boxing his man out.

Millsap isn't a 7-footer. But to call him undersized is an error. Millsap has hips and thighs the size of tree trunks. He has an absolutely huge base that carves him out plenty of space by giving him extraordinary strength and explosion and horizontal space that compensates for his lack of vertical length.

True, but even with that, wouldn't he be a considerably more dominant player if he was a bit taller?

Then he probably wouldn't have the same agility and vertical.

Maybe, maybe not. Either way the point is that all things equal, the taller player is the better player when it comes to big men.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, hode up there, hoss.

"When we need close to 7ers."

    Hmmmmmmmnnnnnnnnnn...............

    Close to 7 (foot-)ers?

Okafor and Nerlens Noel are both listed at 6'11". That's pretty darned close to 7 feet, yeah?

Someone tell me I'm on the wrong tangent with this one.

I wouldn't include Embiid. He fits the height bill but not the "we're-trying-to-win-now" bill.

    Hmn. Noel or Okafor.

I'd say Philadelphia would be more into moving Noel.

Would Sam Hinkie be dumb enough to take Philly native Markieff Morris (and other considerations, Noel by himself is worth more in trade value than a guy up on a felony charge) in a 3-way?

    Hmmmmmmmnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

Some guy named Draymond Green at 6ft 7in tall sure did make the rockets bigs look silly while getting a triple double and running his teams offense

Same. Jerami Grant? Richaun Holmes? Eh.

ETA: Noel and Ish seem like a perfect, pretty lethal pair. Not sure I'd break that up if I were them.

I would love... LOOVVEE to have Noel here. If we're trying to develop a good young core (KJ, Harden, Dmo + Noel) would be a great addition to making one step closer to a "we're obviously not winning now so we're gonna prepare for the future" type scenario. Not a full rebuild... just a little shuffle to move out some 30+ers (Brewer/Howard) and add Noel. But please dump jones ffs
