By the way, KG got his numbers all the time. It says something about his ability to really get players around him better, when they exit at the first round of playoffs all the time, until they got Spree and Sam last year. TD and LJ are all different. KB is a super talented guard, similar as T-Mac. He's not exactly making his teammates a lot better, same as T-Mac last year.
I am really getting tired of the +/- stat as a criticism of Yao, heck, even as a citicisim of any of our players. There are way too many variables involved to judge this accurately. Who's on the court with who effects the points scored not necessarily one player. When players play, garbage time at the end of close games/at the end of a half. Yao doesn't guard point guards that go off on else just as Tracy doesn't guard Tim Duncan either. Look at the 5 man squads if anything. Notice how the top two 5-man teams involve Yao and most of the crappy teams involve Lue (thank god he's gone). Maybe Lue was part of the problem more than anything.
We are a better team with Yao in the game. Yao is not being traded to _______________. We can't trade Mo Taylor and Juwan Howard for Kevin Garnett. Steve, Cat, and Cato are not coming back. There that should clear everything up.
And you are a Rockets Fan only because they are in Houston. Were they to move, and be replaced by another team, you would root for that team instead. I became a Rox fan cuz of Hakeem, I wold be a Rox fan no matter where they went. Think about it, were Yao to remain with the Rox if they went somewhere else, the YOFs would still follow the team while you would probbaly start rooting for the mavs or Spurs.
you're right...if they move, i'm done with them. but since they're locked into a 30 year lease, i feel pretty confident they'll be around. and i would not root for the mavs. bite your tongue!!!
Well I don't want to jinx it for the guys in the motherland, but with the way things are these days, you never know. heh, I take back what I said about rooting for the Mavs. You guys would probably just root harder for any football team in your vicinity =)
