The "I don't know what would happen" is the most cognizant thing you've said. Why don't you think through it?
The US did not do that. Where does that beef from Brazil go? I'd also worry about palm oil in the Pacific and SE Asia. Look at how many products have that as an ingredient.
Why look it as a U.S. thing when it's a world wide human thing? Yes palm oil is also concerning, many modern agriculture practices are concerning.
the men all grow trendy long beards and wear skinny jeans and the women all stop shaving their pits and smell like patchouli.
Isn't it fun to make jokes about people who are in the minority and have differences from yourself? It always is.
A Jehovas Witness, a vegan, and a crossfitter walk into a bar... I only know this because each of them announced it within 3 minutes.
Majority of Americans eat no vegetables ever... Nobody blinks an eye. A minority with considerably better health with regards to bp/cholesterol/blood sugar/occurrences of cancer/bone health/etc. and lifestyle choices eat nothing but plant based foods... everybody flips out. It's pretty telling that people complain about corruption and false marketing, yet ignore the fact that most health agencies, including the American cancer society and FDA, take considerable amounts of money from the beef, chicken, dairy industry.

Never did the vegan thing bro. Was vegetarian for like 4 ish years but im a regular old meat eater now. Never going back
I do agree that americans need to learn how to eat. I spend a lot of time working in Europe and Asia each year, and the first thing I notice when I return is how fat everybody is. It's gross. People don't even care, and it's taking years off their lives. Vegans don't bother me. Just don't get all militant about it and tell me what to eat.
I would never be Vegan, I will probably starve to death. I am going to eat more veggies and seafood next year instead of chicken or beef. I think I barely ate any chicken this year, and am becoming more picky about the quality of beef I eat so I ate less beef too.
This is the key. It doesn't matter what you eat, it REALLY matters how it was raised/harvested. Seafood is not all equal Poultry is not all equal Beef is not all equal Vegetables & Fruits are not all equal Grains and Legumes are not all equal Dairy is not all equal Pork is not all equal Be a better consumer, you will eat less of certain things but spend a bit more when you do. And it will be a better product.
Why would you choose to starve to death? Why do so many people eat vegan without any problems but you're the one person who would starve?
She is a big advocate for eating animal fats and protein, she even wrote a book on it a few years back. She has no nutrition or medical background...she read a lot I suppose. The attorney that reviewed her book aint a nutritionist either to be fair. Here's a retort to her book. I fast forwarded to the good parts. http://www.veganseatwhat.com/vegan-...urprise-what-i-find-troubling-about-the-book/
You're saying that now, when people can't find basics like eggs and milk and bread and such, you're thinking that this is a great time to get people to start buying tofu and whatnot?
