Claiming that all species "evolved" from the same organism in the water, grew legs, the ability to breathe oxygen and finally walked on land, no, I don't believe that. To me, it just raises more questions like how come some species like humans continued to "evolve" whereas apes/monekeys stayed put? And how could humans by far become the most superior intellectually? What about fish- are they not evolved because they stayed in the water?

I'm no evolution supporter but even to me it's a simple concept. Humans evolved from perhaps simpler life forms, carrying only the most useful and efficient traits and genes. So the microbes>fish>amphibian>ape>man logic is hard to visualize but remember humans are a result of extensive genetic mutations within the primate group.

The concept is always misunderstood. People assume evolution is a one way metamorphosis where each specie evolves into something and then somehow the original specie becomes extinct. That's not really the way it works in theory. Neither do all species have to evolve into intelligent life form like humans. On the contrary, humans are the result of very rapid mutations designed to create a specie most suitable in all environments and temperatures. That is why we have multiplied so rapidly and occupy every corner of the globe.

"Believe" is the operative word, interesting. I thought you "believe" in a religion. Obviously, adaptations have occurred and are presently occurring, but a straight line from monkey to man, of course not.

Except the Bible does get some significant evolutionary events wrong. For example, the first chapter in Genesis claims that birds were created, then sea creatures, then, on the next day, land animals. The correct order would actually be the reverse, and there are plenty of other examples like this one.
