I have tried to listen to Astros podcasts found on the Apple podcast app. They are either too dull or have stopped updating for months. The only one I found that updated daily was the Locked On podcast. But this is actually the worst of all of them. Very low energy and amateurish. I actually thought it was a parody of bad podcasts, but I later learned the hosts are earnest in their endeavors. So far the best I’ve found are the official Astros podcasts with the radio guys. But I was hoping there is an insightful podcast I may have missed. Anybody have any recommendations?
I like the Crawford Talks with Kaplan from the Athletic. It hasn't updated often in the offseasom but we've only had one game so it is wait and see for the season. I listen to official podcast, but besides that I listen to national podcasts.
Lima Time Time is good. I admittedly don’t listen to a lot of podcasts but I like James Yasko, he’s the writer behind Astros County. His content is really good, but he hung up the cleats on writing end after doing it so well for so long. Their recent interview w/ Jeff Passan was interesting, it’s on YouTube IIRC.
Thanks! I have not run across this one before. And I do like the content on Astros County. Good to know the host will be knowledgeable.
Yeah, it's an ex pitcher who never made the big leagues named Tuttle. Not sure if donkeypunch's comment meant Ashby is his counterpoint professionally or overall I just didn't get the joke. I like Tuttle as a co-host for Blum though.
Not sure if this a good podcast or not. It is new and I may give it a shot. Without commuting to work, it is hard for a new podcast to break into the queue of the ones I already listen.
