No one thought they were contenders going into the playoffs. They barely got into the playoffs as the divisional winner with like 8 or 9 wins.

The Jets almost got to the SB and they didn't even deserve to be in the playoffs in the first place.

My point is that crazier things have happened and were a contender if we remain healthy. Remember that we started off 2-0 three seasons ago and then AJ got hurt in that huge win @ Carolina.

This is a damn good squad. Things just have to fall our way for once.

I think the Texans have the ability to beat any team in the NFL on a given day, especially once Brian Cushing is back. Thus, they are a contender in my opinion. That doesn't mean they'll get there, but it means they COULD.

We all know the Colts is gonna do good and might take the division. I'm more worried about the Titans and Jaguars because they both swept us last season and the Titans are undefeated when Young plays.

I would have laughed and laughed at such a suggestion had I not seen the game on Sunday. Now I would say unlikely but possible. If they showed up in Dallas stadium against the Saints, I would be deliriously overjoyed. No, I really don't have any words to describe that. I don't cry much, maybe I should, but if that happened I might be sobbing like a little baby.

    Are you F.ing serious?

What happens if they lose to the Redskins this week, what will happen to all the hype then.

OMG... Texans fans... seriously... please... seriously...

We have earned and deserve any delusional thoughts that we might have! ;)

I think if it had not been the Colts the reaction may have been a bit more tempered, but the Colts were in the SuperBowl, we have beaten them (barely) only once in Texan's history, and most of us have not seen a ground game like that in forever, SO, cut us a little slack. Yeah, we are probably nuts, but we just have to do this. If we lose next week, we will be back to our negative, pessimistic selves.

I voted yes on the poll because I hope they can make it there, but you can't really say they are super bowl contenders after one game. They beat the Colts, that was great. They still have to prove that they can win in a hostile environment, and that's where the Redskins come in.

I honestly won't get excited over the Texans until they make the play-offs. Like Mario said they aren't "worried about one game" just taking it "one game at a time".

Too early to tell, a good defense might be able to shut us down.

Why not? If the running game is even consistently half as good as last week our offense could be the best in the league.

Foster looks good, damn good. Good as in Pro Bowl good. Look at his three starts 447 yards, 6 TDs, 6.2 YPC. Why can't he keep this up? He's young, has something to prove, the ZBS looks picture perfect, Leach is a monster, AJ, Walters, Dreesen, Daniels are terrific blockers. Everything is in place for a HUGE year rushing.

Then the playaction, which is already a thing of beauty, will just be rediculous.

Can't it be possible that all of the potential is finally being realized? All the pieces are in place, so what happens if it all clicks?

We may just get to find out.

you just made my point. those teams made the playoffs. can the Texans do that first before all this Super Bowl contender talk?

i don't doubt the Texans' talent. but they can't be a contender if they aren't even contending by the end of the season.

Too early. We've never even made the post season. Lets come back to this thread in week 12 and see where we're at.

Easy to hate when your team avoids repeating an 0-6 start (by playing the raiders).

Who in the AFC is clearly better than us?

I like your contrasting usage of shock and surprise, two synonyms.

A big if. Hopefully you'll crawl into your hole after we get this winning streak going.

And you sure do post in every Texans thread for someone that supposedly doesn't post that much.

Here you go since you can't tell where the ef you are --> http://gotitans.com/goForum/
