Nah Rockets would crush them. Had nothing to play for. Already home court advantaged everything.

The point is facing them will have high chances to hurt our players, we dont have full team in the final which reduce chances to get champion even we have home advantage

Wtf... What's with @swyyyguy, hating on Harden on every single thread?

I don't really know if it's a Harden problem. Watching the game, they just had great lineups against the Rockets. We often do the same thing in isolation.

LMA on PJ or Harden is always slightly scary. In a lot of cases, picks/screens involving LMA and any other guard is going to be seriously tough to guard.

We slouched a lot on defending the 3 and this was ridiculous. We aren't winning chips if we can't play D. PJ can't do everything.

Also, Ryno is the loser in games vs Spurs. He can't rebound, and he's worse than Harden guarding LMA. If he's not hitting 3s, he has to come out of the game in less time than 18 mins. Man was I frustrated at him.

The Astros weakness last season were the Cleveland Indians, their Pitching destroyed the Astros. The Indians got eliminated early, The Astros avoided them in the Postseason. The Rockets weakness is the Spurs, Gregg Popovich is a dirty coach honestly, dirty players, mind games, fouling hard, crowding the paint.

He was a huge part of why the Spurs averaged an inhuman THRITY PRECENT OFFENSIVE REBOUNDING RATE in the playoffs last year, arguably costing us the series.

Good thing we went from the 21st best defensive rebounding team to the 3rd this year...

You may be correct. Karma is a b****. You see they having kwahi problems. Does our superstar refuse to play or has drama? Nope.

Yup, they are like the rockets kryptonite. Every team has one, our's is SA. We gotta hope they get bumped off by another team.

    They have a lot
They have a lot of bench players to take the foul. They dont mind it. I think houston better sign another backup center in case there are injuries for capela

I mean this is our year to beat them. Dream owned the jazz before. It's still annoying. I just don't want them to expose wrinkles that other teams will use in later rounds.

It'll happen if they stay at 4-5, so I guess we gotta be ready?

I don't think they are our worst match up at all because Chris Paul historically have their number

It's not a good look to lose to the team that ended their season last year, but I'd be surprised if they win more than one game in a first round series. If CP3 is out (just a hypothetical, he's healthy by all accounts), then Harden probably takes the Spurs out in 6 for optimal poetic justice. LMA? LOL give me a break.

Their guards are way faster, they slash to the basket easily, Patty Mills, Dejounte Murray, Bryn Forbes, Tony Parker. Our roster Has NO Young Quick Point Guards to matchup with their quickness. Harden, Paul, Eric, Ariza ,Point Guards easily go by them. Capela really has carry the load defensively, which will tire him out.

Daryl can't you even identify and sign a Point Guard, Quinn Cook a rookie is a big time scorer for Golden State, if the Rockets get eliminated by Golden State it will be because of no Point Guards on the roster. Releasing Isaiah Taylor, can shoot now, where was this on the Rockets. Demetrius Jackson at least had quickness defensively.

Not specifically the Spurs but we do need to be concerend about the PicknRoll coverage in the Playoffs.
Spurs just get it. When you don't get the help on Harden from Capela's guy, sag off Harden a bit to wait for him with hands up near the basket and close the passing lane for the corner, we get stuck.
Now granted, with Paul its easier because he's a master midrange, but we can't just put it on him, Im afraid of his health and availability.
Dantony and the players need to realise that you have to play different against different machups.
I dont like this arogant 'They need to plan for us, we dont need to plan for anybody', theme.
Against really good and dicipline defensive teams like Jazz or the Spurs, we need to play faster.
Cant have that probing for 15 seconds each possesions to search for the loose brick, because there won't be any.
Against those teams you need to play the Dantony way. Let them try to beat us 125-120.
We can match against any team in the league, we have the personel. We just need to have the right preperation and attitude.

All of you saying that CP's absence is the problem, I'll agree largely because it was Patty Mills who did a lot of the scoring at the 3rd/4th. And I think CP matches up w/ him very well.

But SA will always force a switch to another defender. A lot of times, I believe this will be Ryno, Mbah a Moute, Harden. It's going to apply exactly the same for LMA.

    Also, Ryno...
