Celtics got lucky just like the lakers. You had a terrible situation in Minnesota and you could get KG and then the same thing with Seattle. Team usually don't tend to trade super stars still close to their primes.
Celtics had to give up Al Jefferson for KG, and Jefferson was a hot commodity. Ray Allen back then was no where near where Lebron is now, so that comparsion is futile. Also, Ray Allen traded from rebuilding teams after relatively unsuccessful seasons on the SuperSonics. So the comparsion of Ray Allen to Lebron is just absurd. The comparion of Bosh to Jefferson makes more sense though.
Dude I wasn't comparing the players I was comparing the moves made to acquire two all stars in one off season to pair with the one all star we already have
it appears to me that bashing earnest and enthusiastic (although unrealistic and improbable) threads is the "cool" or "intelligent" thing to do on the GARM. it's as if every tool on clutchfans races to dismiss threads like this one or "rookify" whoever posted them. get over yourselves.. mattlivin05, interesting ideas, i'd like to see how you figure the money would work before deciding on this trade, but i don't know if im comfortable with giving away all of these promising assets for just 2 players. a strong, deep bench is key, especially in the playoffs (see: suns) and we should always remember.. daryl morey is our GM. anything is possible.
