Shouldn't you be asking if the Rockets are better than the blazers or the warriors?

Both of their benches stink, I'm beggining to not like Isiah Canan dude acts like he's all NBA in the summer league. His defense is atrocious and stops the ball on offense. I hope Nick J develops into a PG by applying PBev go hard hustle technics!

One could say just about every bet out there is for suckers. But there is a reason that before this last season Vegas odds had the top 4 teams as OKC, LAC, SA and HOU and that's exactly who the top 4 teams were. They do their homework. They aren't always right, but they are pretty damn good at what they do.

Felton and Chandler were starters on a terrible Knicks team who stunk in the East. Monta Ellis and Chandler Parsons are overrated. Once again who is playing defense on Dalllas? Their best defender was Marion. Lewis and Jefferson are washed up. This is a dumb comment.

And what makes you think Fatboy Felton is a better defender than Calderon? He isnt..plus Calderon is one of the best 3 point shooters in basketball. So was Vince Carter. The only shooter they have left is Dirk. Marion is a better defender than Parsons. Their defense is terrible from 1-4.

Anyone that thinks the Mavs are better this year just needs to watch the video below.

The mavericks may start the 4 worst defenders in the league at pg, sg, sf, and pf. If they win Tyson Chandler should automatically win DPOY.

Don't forget the Mavericks are completely capped out this year, and the Rockets still have plenty of room to make more additions. We are clearly in a better place.

It's Basketball... Usually teams with the best talent (best coach in San Antonio's case) finish with the best records. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. Different story with football.

Actually I believe Harris will be their starter and he's a better defender than both. And Dirk isn't the only shooter they have. And the only thing I said is I don't think they're a garbage team. I have no idea what they will or won't do... I just know they have a great coach.

Have you watched Harris play in the last two years? He's finished. Multiple years of injuries and his legs are dead now.

This forum is getting ridiculous with people who play too much 2K and don't even watch NBA games.

Yes I have... And he was "ok" for Dallas the last half of the season and played well for them during the playoffs.

You guys have to stop assuming people "don't watch" basketball just because you don't agree with their opinion. Because I could easily say YOU don't watch basketball when YOU say Love and Bosh are good defenders when they can't guard NOOOOOObody... Lol...

Harris did decent in last year's playoffs - he's definitely not done IMO. Why is this comparison even being made? Who gives a damn about the Mavs.

The mavericks don't have anyone to guard James Harden.

How are the Mavs higher than the Rockets on the NBA Power Rankings while losing Dalembert, Calderon, Marion, VC? Once again the "analysts" prove themselves to be dumber than a door knob.

Dallas will have issues with consistent PG play, defense, and depth. But man is that offense explosive. Monta Haveitall Ellis is a damn good slasher, Dirk can do it all, Chandler is a pretty good P&R player, and we've all seen how well Parsons can play off of other scorers.

While I still believe the Rockets will finish ahead of them, it isn't as cut and dry as we'd like to assume. The Mavericks have a very balanced and explosive scoring attack, as well as a stellar coach in Carlisle. Personally, I think that they finish top-6 in the West this year, leapfrogging the Warriors.

I'm excited about the hole that Dallas has put itself in. Basically, if Parsons doesn't become a superstar, they are screwed.
