NO!!! Hakeem did his own thing. Remember when Vernon Maxwell was in Houston, Lewis Lloyd, John Lucas, and Mitchell Wiggins. All these players played with the Dream, he didn't have an impact in their lives.

I belive that the things that are happening are the result of all the games lost and I believe that things will get better for the Rockets but they must believe.

What if what he said was true, is it still a cheap shot? Was it a cheap shot when Scott Brooks came out right after he was traded and said Rudy told him that he (Brooks) would be a Rocket for as long as he was the coach? Are Carlos Rogers' recent comments cheap shots? I don't understand...any employee that has anything negative to say about their former employer is committing a cheap shot? And not only are you saying this is a cheap shot, but not "clever" or "gracious"? So being silent is clever and gracious? Why should he be gracious? Why be gracious if you think you were mistreated?

Well, nothing like tootin' your own horn. Maybe Hakeem ain't no big city intellectual like you are...but that don't make him lazy. Yee Haw. And i'm sure since you're so well adjusted you couldn't see how a JOURNALIST would be more likely to be media savvy than a basketball player...You've picked a professional in which your mastery of the language is essential, quite unlike our subject, Hakeem.

Well, you were the one who offered laziness as AN explanation, not me. If you want to bail on it now and go for shyness that's cool with me. Personally I'd prefer that over the more derogatory 'lazy' charge you labelled (without any substance to back it up) in your earlier post.

Hmmm, reversing yourself again. Making yourself a moving target is quite clever of YOU. Our disagreement is that you've thrown out 'laziness' and attached it to the Dream because he didn't take six semesters of 'how to make friends and influence media peddlers.' You seem to resent him for it, although I'm not sure why. And our disagreement is that just because you've 'made it' (apparently), it doesn't mean every immigrant is going to be a media darling such as yourself. And if they aren't, calling them lazy is not fair IMHO. You could have just as easily said "Hakeem always seemed to keep to himself and was rarely a verbal leader, so I don't believe he'd of had an effect on these guys recent troubles." You chose to throw out a slanderous charge (without substance) instead, hence our disagreement.

Rudy T just used Hakeem as an excuse to run that tired, boring offensive set that required no strategy on Rudy's behalf.

Rudy now is trying to implement an offensive scheme around Francis where Rudy does not have to think about strategy. Of course with Stevie out, he has an excuse not to strategize nor to think. I think they're actually playing Stratego in the time-out huddles.

Dude. Please. I was describing Hakeem, not myself.

I've had to learn both (though English at a much younger age), and I think Spanish is harder to learn.
