too bad we just signed him for another 3 years. Best and fast way to fix the problems now is to getting a legit PG.
They just don't look like they know how to play together or with much enthusiasm. And they are not playing smartly.
I'm about ready to start a 'Morey's Folly' thread since the Mavs are 5-2 after Rondo and we are 1-4 after Smith.
Josh Smith isn't the problem, he isn't the answer either. The problem with this team is that we are a defensive team that forgot how to play proper team defense - probably because Smith and Brewer don't know what they are doing and Howard is clearly not himself on either end of the floor. Those things should improve over time. The issue on offense is more disconcerting. I don't think Ariza, Smith, or anyone else is going to shoot the ball any better. I also think that losing Black, Garcia, and even Daniels hurt the team emotionally a bit. Trades can do that. Just takes time. And a real pg.
I told you so from the poster who said the Rockets are the favorites after the Smith acquisition? Am I missing something?
I am now convinced that this team will never be favorite with Morey. 1) let go Parsons rather than have his service under $1M this season. 2) Mchale's contract extension. Two significant wrong moves in the last 6 months.
