I'm still a little upset over this draft fiasco, but hope for the best. I'm not into this quick fix crap, heck, I've seen it often with this team, "win now" blah, blah ! This will just gut this team quicker, probably in a couple of years! This team should have gotten more out of this deal. JVG is just trying to save his a$$! Oh well, I'm sure he will join his brother soon! I just don't see this team beating the Spurs, Mavs, Piston, Heat, now GRIZZLES CONSISTANTLY! Besides Yao & TMAc, we have a bunch of bench warmers, plus their health concerns me! Man, this front office sucks!
We are way behind. Last year was a disaster, not only the injuries but we just traded the PF that was supposed to be piece of the championship puzzle. We are trying to get back a guy that we shouldn't have let go in the first place. If Novak doesn't make the team we'll have one rookie contract, an indication that we haven't done that well in the draft. We are still the 3rd best team in Texas and as the roster stands now we are going to have a tough time getting out of the first round of the playoffs.
A very realistic post tiger0330.Swift was supposed to be a part of the puzzle but he wasn't. Right now we have too many holes to fill and don't have the means to get the job done.
Too early to tell. It all depends on 2 things : 1) Who we get this off-season 2) How well Yao and TMac's bodies hold up. I expect the Rockets to be a much better team simply by default this season for the simple fact that they'll hopefully start out injury-free and hopefully stay that way. Last year's team wasn't as bad as the record indicated - injuries decimated them. This team better win 50+ games if healthy.
Or getting in at all? Which team is poised to drop out? Which teams in the West are poised to be stronger?
