Finally, the tiebreaker for me on Kobe's personality is how much he and Dwight did not get along. If I narrowed it to INTJ, ISTJ, and ESTJ, it would be much much less of an issue if he were an XSTJ interacting with an ESTP. Not so with INTJ. Hence my guess being INTJ

Dwight is the better player, and I don't think Harden cares about being 1A.

 

I recommend you pick up a book called Your Key to Sports Success by Jonathan P. Niednagel. He is THE expert on brain types as he is the one who put the pieces together. As we all know, there is a TON of misinformation on the internet and people clearly just throwing out the perspectives of the truth. Niednagel clearly states in his book that Kobe is an ISFP. Now, Brain types can change over time or can be perceived incorrectly if a person does not act like themselves in a particular environment but that can be due to them wanting to be perceived a certain way by those around them. Brain Types is more than just personality, it is also tied to motor skills, body type and they all are tied together to make the individuals brain type. It is a fascinating study and I agree with you that people on Clutchfans would be very interested in it as Morey does use it in his analysis of players. He learned it while at Boston working under Danny Ainge who uses brain typing extensively in his player analysis.

And yes, there is an "elite" brain type in sports. ISTP is it. Let me give you a quote from the book:

"We are talking the athlete par excellence, numero uno in the majority of sports! No Type is better designed, cerebrally and in the use of hand eye coordination, than the ISTP."

 

I agree with this. I honestly don't think they care. I bet they are just happy to play with each other. Since neither one of their names is Kobe Bryant they should be fine.

I don't think Dwight and Kobe didn't get along over their brain types. Kobe has a fixation on supplanting Jordan as the GOAT. That is all he cares about. He is a very insecure man who is highly un-liked because of it and because of this, he is a poor leader. Kobe wants to win the way Jordan won by being THE MAN so that the history books will compare them apples to apples. Having a dominant big man takes away from what he is trying to attain because Jordan didn't ever play with a big by the likes of Shaq or Howard. It takes the focus off of Kobe when they are around. Also, Shaq and Howard are very similar personality wise in the sense that they are silly and in your face. Kobe hates that! He is a shy, introverted and sensitive person and cannot take poking which is why he is an F (Feeler). Shaq and Howard are both T's (Thinkers) and don't take things as personally. Typically ISTP's (SHAQ), ESTP's (HOWARD) and ISFP's (KOBE) get along very well but again, Kobe has one goal and that is to be the next Jordan. He feels that this will validate him as a person and it is just pathetic. Kobe will never be on Jordan's level. He will come close, but Jordan will always be better.

Parsons is the captain.

 

As long as you give Howard some shots in the post, I think he'll be fine. Leadership is a personality thing. And, I think Parsons and Lin are more likely than Howard or Harden.
