it sucks that key players this season kyle lowry, ariza, and now battier, jeffries, and hill (who I enjoyed watching the most this season develop) are out for a lenthy period of time, probably for the season!!!
it sucks now to watch rocket games knowing they have no chance at making the playoffs, I also wanted to watch jordan hill play and develop more, i liked jeffries too
According to an unspoken Rocket code, a traded player isn't officially a Rocket until they get injured. Welcome to the team, Hill! Armstrong, Martin and Jeffries got injured first. Hill is just a little slow in coming along.
yeah, but the have roy back and aldrich and they have camby to support the front court with the exception of oden they blazers rarely suffer injuries year in and out
These last 2 years they had/have injuries to: Roy, Pryzbilla, Oden, Outlaw, Webster, Batum, Blake, Coach McMillan even... and I know I'm missing some other names. In short, no the Rockets are not cursed... /melodrama
Jeffries has always been a case of when will he get injured an not if... That's another reason why he's such an awful contract to have on the books for a team.
I know a few friends not renewing their season tickets til they see a healthy team. With the Rockets, you just know if they'll last the whole season.
Every team goes through those types of situations, I don't believe the Rockets are Cursed, look at Portland for Example, their two centers went down early in the season. I would say we are unfortunate.
dude you're exaggerating ok....we can list several teams who have had injury problems and you'll find an excuse for every one of them because you believe 100 % it's just Houston. Like i said before, yao and tmac were injury prone, period. No way around that. Some teams have one injury prone player, we ended up with two, but all the other injuries, as much as you want to lump them in with Yao and tmac, are not the same kind of chronic injuries. They're accidents that happen when you play the game. If nate robinson has a sore ankle, we're probaby not going to hear about it because it's not front page news. Since we're fans and we post any little news about the rockets we know every single ache and pain they have and that makes it seem like we got it worse than anyone else, but we really dont, again, except for yao and tmac
just look at the current injury report. We're technically completely healthy except for battier and Yao.... Only 6 out of 30 teams have no reported injuries. The warriors have Turiaf, Randolph, Azubuike, wright, AND biedrins all with injuries. Nuggets have Melo, martin, and lawson injured. Hornets have peja, paul, and marks injured. Knicks- chandler, bender, and curry Blazers- Oden, Prz, and rudy and so on....and that's just the current reported injuries. Imagine how many more were reported earlier and how many more will be reported in the next two weeks. it happens.
In the game against the Knicks Battier hyperextended his left knee and left the game. He's prolly out for 10 days and then all of sudden Jordan Hill and Jared Jeffries walked the road that Shane had just gone by, again they fell down with injuries. At this very point where we're gonna push for the last playoff spot in the West our key players just went down with injuries and so, how does that sound good for us? I don't take that as a good sign of battling through the last one and half month stretch of the games. Wish them the best and get back to action of play soon to help lift the Rockets by the Blazers and take the last berth for this year's Playoff.
Man it's unbelievable you could even think that. Sure we haven't lived up to expectations, but come on. This team is competitive year in and year out. I considered cursed what Royals fans go through, or what Grizz fans go through. That is cursed.
