Yes, they all have weaknesses, but I still think we got robbed for losing them all and choking up 40 mil for a guy who can't and won't be able to stay healthy, and the odds of having him do so through playoffs are slim. I'd rather have two 20 million healthy young players.

Rockets are better with a fully 100% healthy Chris Paul

But not with a less than 100% Chris Paul, if he's trying to play through any injuries (even minor ones)

i was speaking metaphorically... he looked pretty average.. for the most part he couldn't score efficiently and couldn't defend.(and if i recall well our record was .500 from asb to the po)...he may have had one great game in that okc series tho ( and couple of solid rs showings)... but every nba player will have some good games once in a while...i would gladly take him back now(for a pick or 2) but i 100% understand rockets who just had to give a shot to pairing another legit superstar with harden over keeping lue who was pretty meh here

The Clippers had to dump Jamal Crawford's $10,942,762 contract in order to sign Danilo Gallinari. Therefore, Houston trades Eric Gordon in order to sign Danilo Gallinari because that's probably the only way to obtain Danilo Gallinari. Houston doesn't retain Ariza because he takes $15,000,000 from Phoenix.

Last season Patrick Beverley and Gallinari played a combined 32 games. 2018 WCF is out of the picture. Likely a 2nd round exit at best. Ariza leaves in free agency. Anderson is traded for Knight.

    2018-19 roster (if healthy)

    James Harden / Patrick Beverley
    Austin Rivers / Lou Williams
    Danilo Gallinari / Gerald Green
    PJ Tucker / Danuel House
Clint Capela / Montrezl Harrell / Nene

I dunno….. I'd still rather have Chris Paul still, but that's me.

No Harden is going to wear down at this pace. We need a healthy CP.

you can't get two $20 million young players. we had <5 million in cap space without cp3

I still don't know how people think that the Rockets could have used Chris Paul's $40 million to sign other players. Those other players would have been Patrick Beverley, Lou Williams, and Montrezl Harrell. The guys who were on the roster when the Rockets lost to the Spurs in 2017. It makes zero sense.

because the average sports fan is a casual that doesn't give enough of a damn to go find the truth. they'd rather just spew a lazy opinion because the team and games don't really mean that much to them

I guess I am just not an expert. I thought if we could offer him a 40 million a year at the end of last year then we could have not opted to do that and instead offered 20 mil to two free younger healthy players.

I understand the 40m is tough to swallow I’m in that camp but cmon your not looking at it from the big picture it was basically those guys for cp3 and tucker.

Without doing that trade we would not have tucker right now ppl are forgetting that.

We went to the wcf last year with cp3 who was dynamite avg over 20 a game and hitting big shots left and right.

We need cp3 to be a true contender bev Lou and trez are nice but there not helping us win a chip unless those guys were added to this current team with cp3.

    And your forgetting cp3 leadership.

In no way are the Rockets better without CP3. However I still think the CP3 trade was a bad one.

I don't think CP was a bad player,I mean he should keep healthy, and if he insist playing with an elbow injury, that's not good for the team and himself too.

What's the point of coming in here at this moment and posting this? Tell me? We won? We knew how long he was gonna be out? Yea there's always a risk with his age and injury but at the end of the day he is our 2nd best player and we will not win the chip without him.
