Everyone minus Amen and maybe Tari are BBIQ players when it comes to slashing and cutting.

When Green is replaced with whatever star we get people will notice this

But you see when we don’t go to the old forced high screen to Sengun we give teams a lot of trouble offensively.

I agree. I don’t understand why Udoka always play straight up. They need to hedge or hard show on those high screens because teams are picking us apart on them. And the ball handler needs to be blitzed early if we are going to blitz. Really baffling to me.

I have conflicting views on this and I'm not sure where I lean, but here's what I think

    1) Ime is a very good coach, his results are undeniable, and I am skeptical we could get a better coach
    2) Ime is not a very good offensive coach
    3) Ime's entire coaching philosophy does not fit with Sengun nor does it maximize Sengun, it's putting a square peg in a round hole
    4) Ime's FVV/Sengun centric offense is not very good
    5) The best way to maximize our roster would utilize an offense that is run through Sengun (not heliocentric, but run through him) but Ime cannot do this
    6) We would almost certainly be worse if we got a new coach who could do this, elite coaches don't grow on trees

So...I don't really know. I'm not sure how to put all that together. I've advocated in the past for trading Sengun but I'm not sure that's a great idea either. It's a weird situation and I don't know the next move(s) to make.

Sengun tends to pass out of the post only when he's been closed off completely. If he would regularly hit an open man before he starts trying to back down his defender, it would open things up so much for him. They'd have to respect that he might pass it out at any point and wouldn't collapse into the paint as quickly as they tend to do.

I think we ALL know there was more to that stretch than them missing Sengun and Fred.

They were also missing Jabari and Jalen was battling injuries, so just saying missing Sengun and Fredis what lead to 0-3 is a bit unfair

When the games slow down, defenses clamp down and buckets become harder to come by aka the playoffs…. You’ll be glad we have Sengun.

See, I dont think he is the best player the Rockets have. A fair assessment is, he is good offensively around the basket, a good rebounder and a good passer. However, he can not shoot outside of 10 ft effectively, doesnt rebound outside of his area, and doesnt block shots at a good rate.....Thats a good player but not a tram's best player.

The best player is one who can play on BOTH sides of the ball or can score at a high rate or someone who can score on all three levels.

The closes thing we have to that is Jalen or Amen. I know you will disagree but its just MY opinion

And not saying I am not glad. Because this team has several good but not great players, every player has a role. His is to be a goto when teams clap down, otherwise he needs to help spread the court for Jalen and Amen

It's ok to have an opinion that contradicts with reality.

Amen is objectively the only player who can become better player than Sengun if he can create with the ball. As of today, he's not better.

He's very bad at dealing with double teams. Usually waits too late and turns the ball over or throws a pass that does not create any advantage for the offense. It's one of those things he has to learn if he wants to be a legit first option.

ah yes, the old tired def rating metrics argument. People like you really are lost causes lol. Have fun looking up one or two more metrics to prove an incorrect assessment.

I also do know a lot of people like yourself don’t understand metrics and how to apply it to in depth examination and Analysis to support a position. You need to punt your ass out of this conversation dumny.

Rockets did not dominate boards like usual or win turnover battle, those areas intrinsic to Rockets winning identity.

I think thats the main issue, Sengun does not spread the floor.

Swapping Claxton with Alperen makes Rockets championship team???? This is probably first and last time I interact with you but I appreciate the belly laugh.
