No 1 priority of a rebuild is to find the players you can build around. If Jalen and Sengun can coexist and thrive together, that’s really all we need at this stage of the rebuild. If the other players don’t like it or can’t fit, too bad for them. Let’s find someone who can. It’s much easier to find role players to fit your cornerstones. You don’t pick which cornerstone fits your role players better…
I mean he's CLEARLY the alpha & best player on this roster. Not only that, he's the best player in the nba right now
It's been 14 games dude. He deserves player of the month but in no way is he remotely close to the MVP conversation. You are nutty my friend
Right now he's the best player in the NBA, mentioned nothing about MVP. If I'm nutty you're illiterate
There is an ''I'' in script&rift The scripted rift a.k.a. NBA farm troll content system (see BlackList)
Remember when you guys whined for two years about how many years it would take to change the culture then it ended up taking two months? This is the same. Rockets fans are just accepting the idea that this ever was an issue. Truth is we just need one of them to improve their jumper and then they’re not liabilities to each other ever. It’s that simple, that’s how it’s going to happen, don’t be the one who says “never saw that coming”. It’s obvious, it’s in plain sight.
Jalen and Alpi have always been tight on the court. While some of the more radical Sengun fans were attacking Jalen earlier, I bet Sengun was being a good friend and making sure he still believes. Honestly the only two I ever thought might clash were Green and Whitmore but they get along really well and actually want to play together. Good group of characters we have.
At the end of the day Brooks is settling back into being what he has always been - a decent 3andD guy. He's not going to be a guy you rely on for stretches on a great team. So, your standard 3andD guy is usually traded for a good 1st rd pick or a pick and some sweeteners if the other team has to take on some bad contracts. I think the Sixers would do Brooks for #15 this offseason, no salary coming back. The rockets might not take that just because they would probably prefer future draft capital given the amount of young talent on the team already. The issue is it's difficult to get a good draft pick from a team that plans to be a contender (the only teams that usually want a player like Brooks).
