I've watched basketball for a little over 20 years...and the only teams who I thought were unbeatable...were 85-86 Celtics 95-96 Bulls 00-01 Lakers 93-95 Olajuwon Every other great squad I've seen during that period of time were vulnerable in some way or another. The thing why the Rockets wouldn't beat the Lakers is pure simply inconsistency, inability to hold leads, and coaching. What would give the Rockets a chance at winning?....Yao Ming (playing out of his mind, which is 50/50)....Artest/Battier do a number on Kobe, like what the Celtics did last year (and the Pistons in 04, which is possible)...the bench coming through in clutch offensively/defensively. I'll say it could happen, by chances are against it as we speak.

I can agree with that, too. Most critics, the ESPN talking heads, and the fans (who poll over at ESPN) believe that the Nuggets, before the Blazers and the Hornets just following will give the Lakers the most trouble. The Rockets were dead last, next to the Mavs. I was like c'mon now. I could see Nuggets and Blazers being over us, maybe the Spurs those other teams, not really. The Rockets have pretty good front line and some of the best defenders in the league, like Battier, Artest, Hayes, Mutombo, and even Yao. I think they were a harder team for us to beat without Yao, but with Bynum back it will make Yao a much bigger threat against them.
The main matchup problem we have with them is at the PF. Scola and Landry simply just cannot stop the Gasol-Odom Tandem. Thats where were gonna get killed.
