I love Emeka but they were playing a team with zilch on the inside. Glad to see him dominate. I'd say if Ariza/Belinelli and the Hornets bench(Thornton, DJ, Bayless, etc) can keep playing well, the Hornets will be a dangerous team and in the playoffs as well.

Main thing is if CP3 stays healthy cos no doubt he is the main reason they are undefeated. (The supporting cast play a big role but no CP3=no undefeated right now).

they will come back to earth soon enough...

all of these teams that were projected in the offseason to be mediocre teams are doing well. but i don't think a lot of people really believe they'll keep this up. the regular season is a wait and see game. do y'all really believe the Warriors will make the playoffs? and Memphis? Sacramento? New Orleans is exactly like these teams. they'll crash and burn. just wait. i don't care how good Paul is, his team is awful. to me, they will be a 35 win team.

the hornets with a healthy paul was a playoff team 2 years ago (and the year before made the semis). they are not going to suck like last year b/c paul is a legit top 3-4 player.

the difference with new orleans and memphis/warriors/sacto is DEFENSE. the hornets play tough D (emeka manning the paint, ariza/paul on the perimeter). their D is legit.

the hornets will make the playoffs as a top 5-6 seed. mark that down.

warriors/memphis/sacto are not going to keep it up b/c they don't play a lick of defense.

    Co-sign(but for the 5-6 seed part, I think they'll be 7 or 8).

Yeah I'm looking at the teams in the West and thought about how Melo might get traded this season.. The West look very weak this season. I'll refute my statement, they might make it in the playoffs. here's my projected standings:

    1. Lakers
    2. Mavericks
    3. Thunder
    4. Spurs
    5. Jazz
    6. Blazers
    7. Hornets
    8. Grizzlies (or Nuggets if Melo doesn't get traded)
    9. Nuggets
    10. Kings
    11. Suns
    12. Warriors
    13. Rockets
    14. T-Wolves
    15. Clippers

    In the East:

    1. Celtics
    2. Heat
    3. Magic
    4. Hawks
    5. Bulls
    6. Nets
    7. Wizards
    8. Bobcats
    9. Knicks
    10. Pacers
    11. Cavaliers
    12. Bucks
    13. Pistons
    14. 76ers
    15. Raptors

Chris Paul is carrying a bunch of role players, that is why he is the best PG in the league.

Deron Williams doesn't even compare in my opinion.

That's what it always looks like at the start of the season... "the year of the young bloods." I'm not falling for that. But we'll see.

*sigh* Deron always gets snubbed everywhere. He's as good as Paul and he kills it in the playoffs.

a loss is still a loss man,

we barely lost to the lakers too, that doesnt say anything,

cause we lost to the nuggets and the warriors.

so if we barely lost to two "elite" teams
but just lost against two regular teams,

    what does that make us?

That's actually been the best past of this Hornets team. They've been playing solid D against the teams they've faced thus far. Don't know what games you've been watching.

Hornets were a good team before CP3 got injured and Collison became the starting PG. The hornets failed to make the playoffs mainly because of CP3's injuries.

They won 56 and 49 games in 08 and 09. If Paul, Okafor, and West stay healthy, there should be no reason for them to miss the playoffs.

They are better then we are. We have a crippled center, they have a Center who was made to look like David Robinson by Yao the other night. They have the best PG on the planet we have a midget shoot first combo guard, plus their wings are much better. The Hornets are the real deal

Chris Paul is the better POINT GUARD. Deron Williams is a better scorer and clutch player, but when it comes to the actual duties of a point guard, Chris Paul handles it masterfully.
