They are done mostly due to the fact that KG is done as a dominant player in the league.

They have no inside presence. KG is now a much softer player than he was early on in the league, and Perkins is just not a superior post player to begin with.

i dont agree with u. celtics didnt dunk on bradley and didnt get 13 pts in 35.

i hope the celtics are done because i dont want the rox to end there 4 game win streak tonight against them. if the celtics can get it together in a couple of games they might MIGHT get to the confrence finals in my opinion.

no way, never count out a team until they r officially sent home from the playoffs, if they r healthy come playoff time they have a chance

Rockets take this one easily... Celtics are an aging garbage team and won't even get past the first round... They should be lucky to even be in the playoff mix... If they were in the West they would definitely be behind the Rockets who are a young and up and coming (thats' what she said) team... Boo Garnett and his stupid scowl... Haven't seen that stupid scowl lately cause he knows him and his team are HOT TRASH!!

    GO ROCKETS!!!

Their done as Championship contenders. They are stuck with KG, but Ray Allen is a FA this year, and you don't bring him back unless he takes a substantial pay cut. Pierce is a FA this year or next depending on if he exercises his option, but I think Boston resigns him, which would be a bad move on their part. Signing Wallace for 3 years at $20 million was stupid. I'm not sure how long they have as a top 4 team.

Considering the fact that they currently have only the 7th best record in the league, they might not even be a top 4 team now.

That Perkins is honestly their best post player right now is alarming. KG is on his last legs and can get lit up, Rasheed is firmly back in cut the check mode (and pass the mayo mode), Uno-Uno is focused on all the wrong things and is a great example for why the league needs a Lemon Law.

I'm personally surprised to see Pierce on such a sharp decline.

Imagine how bad things would be now if they had dropped Rondo this past summer.

Anybody who doesn't realize after the Thunder & Rockets games that the Celts are done is free to be dead wrong. I hope they go down in the first round so I can see the look on KG's face.

Yeah, I think their done. They're best chance for another championship was last season, but KG got hurt and that was the beginning of the end. I still think if KG wasn't hurt last year they would of repeated as champs imo.

I said this in the game thread tonight, if they play any of the top 3 in the East and its over. Now they better be careful with Milwaukee, FEAR THE DEER, because they can beat them but still pick Boston in the end.

boston has lost to the 10-win nets, the yao-less and injury riddled rockets, the young and inexperienced thunder, all on their home floors and to the up and coming atlanta hawks, heck they nearly blew a 25 point lead to sacramento kings landry had 30

If you want to go back a couple of weeks, the Grizzlies beat the stuffing out of them in Boston by 20. That was the game where I finally concluded they had no chance of reaching the finals. The way the Celts completely crumbled at home against the Spurs last weekend shows their team chemistry is way off track.

KG just doesn't have enough anymore. Ray Allen has been on fumes for a while. PP can no longer carry the team on his back for long stretches of time like he did 2 years ago. Rondo being much better and Perkins being somewhat improved doesn't make up for the drop-off of the "big 3". Guys like Rasheed Wallace and Big Baby off the bench just don't cut it and giving up Eddie House for Nate Robinson was a mistake.
