Nope... they likely will play up to their opponents, and eventually will play down to their opponents.
Arizona has playmakers on D. They were vicious at the end of last year. If it finally clicked for Kolb, they're going to make some noise.
This has always been one of the worst franchises in the NFL, especially since the merger so it's a bit unusual to see them doing so well. If Kolb an, if nothing else, not lose the game for Arizona, they should be a force to be reckoned with. Maybe they'll win more than ten games for the first time ever (IIRC).
People forget that the NFL has a higher turnover rate in good teams than any other league. If they stay healthy I think they could make a pretty deep run.
I was off by a game, they've won 11 on three different occasions. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Arizona_Cardinals_seasons
No way they are making the playoffs...ala Buffalo 2012. When January comes around they won't be making any noises Too many good teams in NFC 49ers Packers Giants Falcolns Final 2 Spot: Detriot/Chicago/Cowboys/Seahawks/Eagles/Saints/Panthers all are better teams and will be better then the Cards in January.
Saints? 0-3 Saints? Not sure what the percentage is for 0-3 teams that make the playoffs, but it's pretty damn nil. I think teams that start 0-2 and make it to the playoffs is like less than 10 percent. Panthers? They're 1-2, don't think so. Eagles turn the ball over too much, they got lucky the first two weeks. Not sure what Lil Pun thinks, but I'm sure he is hoping for Vick to get hurt, or go to Jail or something.
10-2 in their last 12 (week 9 of 2011)...that defense is pretty legit. I think they might be a bubble playoff team, and with a strong defense, can make some noise deep.
Interestingly, their opponents are a combined 4-0 in all other games so far - potentially 5-0 if NE holds on against Baltimore. If the NFL were run by computer rankings, they'd be #1 right now thanks to schedule strength.
The Eagles are better than the Cardinals? They sure had a funny way of showing it today. I don't see any similarities between them and the Bills last year. Buffalo was relying on Fitzpatrick and Fred Jackson playing out of their minds, while Arizona has relied on great defensive play, which is much easier to keep up than a strong offense. Are they a playoff team? It's too early to say for sure, but they haven't shown any reasons why they won't be around come January.
They have Kevin Kolb as their starting QB. That alone should tell you if they are a contender or not. Last time I check the cardinals defense is not the 2001 Ravens or 85 bears. NFC is too stacked.
Right, so since they are not one of the best defenses of all time, they are not contenders? Kolb played well today, much better than Vick who you apparently think is good enough to get the Eagles to the playoffs.
