You are right, but even the pros make mistakes. They are called pros for a reason, not god. Only time can tell if T Mac will be healthy again, and realistically, he probably won't go back to his prime. But like always, there is hope, and people like it, at least his fans do. I think you should RESPECT that.
Cause you are a hypocrite yourself. If you are really want to follow what the professionals are saying, then why even bother watching the Rockets play. There is no way there are gonna win a championship this year. And didn't all the PROFESSIONAL analysts said that Rockets are going to be a bottom dweller this year? So, please stop all the hate, and just respect that each person is entitiled to express their own opinion.

    This from Hoopsworld:

I assume you guys are a sick of columns and lists ranking this past decade's best, well, everything… I think U2's Bono, writing an OP-Ed piece in this weekend's NYT, put it perfectly: "If we have overindulged in anything these past several days, it is neither holiday ham nor American football; it is Top 10 lists. We have been stuffed full of them. It has been impossible to avoid the end-of-the-decade accountings of the 10 best such-and-suches and the 10 worst fill-in-the-blanks. And so, in the spirit of rock star excess, I offer yet another."

With that in mind, allow me to present the All-Decade Fantasy Hoops First and Second Team:

    ******

    First Team

Small Forward – Tracy McGrady (Magic, Rockets)
As great as LeBron James is, he didn't enter the league until November of 2003, which allowed T-Mac to get enough of a head start to fend him off for Fantasy SF of the Decade. Due to his injuries and disappointing play the last couple of seasons, we tend to forget just how prolific a fantasy producer McGrady was in his prime. During the '00's, T-Mac racked up SEVEN straight seasons of at least 24 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.3 three-pointers, and 1.3 steals. Those are incredible numbers. LeBron has been much, much better for the second half of the decade, but McGrady was that good from 2000-2007

But those arent being started nearly as frequently as the other kind. The McGrady fanatics are the ones who keep the topic near the forefront. There seems to be a new one every day or so. I havent seen one of the other types in quite some time. IMO the only threads most of the GARM wants to read on McGrady are regarding an impending trade.

Well I'll have to agree to disagree with you on that one. Just yesterday or the day before someone takes down their framed McGrady jersey and replaces with Drexler's and he has to write a thread on that.

Ah yes, I do remember that one. My mistake. Do you want me to do a count of each type of threads began in the time since the announcement though? You and I both know how lopsided it will be.

Edit: Just skimmed the last week or so of posts. Only one thread was started with the purpose of celebrating T-Mac being gone(the aforementioned office thread). Most T-Mac threads were rumors or thoughts on potential trades. Some were redundant. Some turned into hater v lover threads. But there were many various other threads showing regret at the decision and even one thread saying Adelman should have been the one to go.

No I don't think that will be necessary because then we'll be contributing to the very thing we're wishing would stop.

I agree, Nobody knows what he can do because we didnt give him a chance, youre simply saying he is done becasue you are not a fan. I just really would have liked to see for myself. And for the people that are Tracy haters, I really would like to understand why or where the hate comes from? Because prior to being hurt he has always put up numbers each and everytime we went to the playoff's. Do we dislike him because he had an injury?

I mean I know that he is opinionated off the court and may talk too much but what does that have to do with anything.

Dont get me wrong if we could make a legitimate trade and get someone like Martin, Wade, Lebron, or Carmello, by all means bring them on. But the reality is that we probably will not get any of those superstar players and if we cant, im sorry I would rahter take my chances with Tracy than some second rate players taking up cap space.

If was true( we do not know this for a fact, yet!) then why would any decent ball club want him on their team? :p

McGrady's biggest asset is his expiring contract. Its not about on the court. In time, he may put it back together and be a solid player like Grant Hill did. But the Rockets dont have that luxury, and any chance to get something valuable in return for the contract is what Morey has to explore. When people say he is done, they mean with the Rockets. What he may or may not return to is not the Rockets concern. He wont get there any time soon, and he wont do the things that a McGrady in his current position needs to do. The Rockets didnt care what kind of stats he created. They had their keys to look for, and he didnt show any of them.

T-mac is a free agent at the end of the year and he is not gonna resign with this team. In a perfect world McGrady and Yao would win tons of titles...the world is not perfect and Tmac is done as a Rocket!

the Rockets are in town an' that, Hakeem Olajuwon? Ohhh--he's got a real attitude.-Kramer

    What?
I think everyone who watches the Rockets knows that we aren't going to win the championship, but that applies for at least 20 teams out there this year. You watch out of loyalty to the TEAM and because this team is really, really fun to watch, not because you're convinced they'll win everything.
And your rant is.... "I know more than those PROs, though I have no evidence at all." Really, just grow up and get over it, Tracy fanboys. The guy's gone, he's not coming back, and the Rockets are moving on and working with what they have. Just get over it. This is already in my mind the new "Battier-Gay" battle, as an old stupid argument that just won't go the **** away.

so many haters lol u aint a true rockets fans if your a hater ?? right so stop hating on tmac get the point everyone deserves a second chance....for example, michael jackson was hated by everyone for being assumed for molestiing a child..then later when he past a way he was known as an icon and missed by everyone in the world...well if you get what im trying to say if we loose this year and not even get to the playoffs for 3-7 years who are we gonna blame ?
    a morey
    b adelman
    c rockets organization
    d our selves
pick wisely cuz ether way u gonna be a hater for your own team....with out tmac and yao theres no team who knws with this much hate u probably wont even see the rockets no more after few years..... i seriously think we could of gave tmac a chance and i already knw we gonna trade yao cuz u knw adelman and morey they want young talent not old centers ....

Please, I like McGrady but from those 7 to 8 minutes he was on the court, I could see enough to understand why Adelman would find it difficult to give McGrady minutes.

He didn't have the same agility and explosiveness that made him a super star, in essence, he was Trevor Ariza but without the defense and better passing. There was no point in giving him more minutes just so he could work out the kinks, when we are aiming at having a playoff run this year.

He got minutes against prime time competition like Orlando and Denver, in both cases, while McGrady was on the floor, both of those teams started to pull away from the Rockets, partially because McGrady couldn't play defense.

McGrady just wasn't ready in his rehab to play enough defense and offense to earn minutes. He couldn't deal with that, which is where the drama originates and his "exile".

in the immortal words of kat williams, "F***K micheal jackson, nicca! i got kids mutha***ka!" i am glad that pervert is dead. i don't care what a bunch of r****ds think. and its a SUPER weak argument. and i assume that you are 15 years old, and perhaps mentally impaired from your argument.
