tinman bought stock in Texas Instruments. so by talking all this ****, he want's you to buy these televisions. I'm going to sit in my 8,000 sq foot house that has my five bmws, and my 30 hummers and listen to my analog radio and my 45rpm vinyl.
then you should get hd content. if u have a cable box, u can swap it for an hd one. u can at least get the free network hd channels to enjoy sports and prime time show. I'm not a salesman, i'm a champion of better quality of life for Rocket fans. I believe Rocket fans need to be educated about the high technology that is offered today.
this thread was kind of ridiculous and then it went into funny-mode. we have an HDTV so please accept me
lines on pants. i'm sold. we don't need functioning levees in NOLA. forget about homeland defense. it's all about lines on pants (with snakes on planes).
i hate it when people think they deserve to buy an S430 or the 350 thats out now. i mean if you can't pony up for the 600 why even buy it? such douchebags. whats next they'll be driving audis without the W12.
this is a classic thread in the making... cheapskates? i wouldnt go that far because to each person their own finances. I know two years ago I could only dream of purchasing something that is 600 dollars let alone a hdtv that at the time was around 1k. i bought one a year ago and personally i know i wont go back to anything that isnt hi-def. that doesnt mean i dont watch anything on a standard tv--i do at my parents' house and friends but my personal tv is hd. if a person has the money to get a hdtv then i do think it is a sound investment, the picture and sound quality is amazing, especially for sports. watching some of the opening weekend football was great because they had crowd and pa noise feeding through the rear surround speakers and it felt like you were at the game. one game had casual conversations of fans coming through the left rear speaker about how the tackling was poor. it was a great experience if you are on the fence of getting one i would say go for it all the way
great pic. let me give you a good football analogy: SDTV=DAVID CARR, he can't see the blitzer coming cause his vision is 4:3 and 480 lines HDTV: 1080 lines and 16:9
HDTV would have saved New Orleans. since people were watching the hurricane tracking on 4:3, the big swirly hurricane figure was chopped off the picture, in 16:9, not only do you see the hurricane, you can see the entire continent since the resolution is higher. SDTV: HDTV:
forget the HDTV's it's all about the LED DUBS dawg <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/eM8sA-zN4zw"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/eM8sA-zN4zw" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
