damn tinman chill out with all the posts in this thread lol. there's no point in making a thread if you're going to argue with every person in it.
I'm convinced that tinman is actually a Phil Hendrie character. He seems to have the same effect on people.
do i get an award since this thread has hit 3800 and the subjects: Rudy Gay Yao's girlfriend Fire Gundy George Bush don't appear?
My projector is an old BenQ PB6200 I got for 'bout $1000 2 yrs ago. It's HD, but just barely (native resolution 1024 X 768) ... I wanted in on HD w/o having to spend big $$$. It was an "entry-level" purchase that's got the job done as I waited til the high-end stuff dropped in price. With the OPTOMA 720P below $1000, it looks like I'm going to be upgrading very soon. Thanks for posting that info.
As I wrote, it's not for everyone. Unless you can afford one of these special screens, you will need a darkened room for best image quality. So, if you want a TV for viewing "normal" stuff (news, etc) with the lights on, get a TV. I'm big on movies and sports, so I had to have the immersive experience that only a giant screen could offer. Anyway, if you want that theater-like effect while watching movies, having the lights out isn't necessarily a bad thing. To me, front projection and TV really aren't competing technologies. They deliver very different experiences for very different "needs."
awesome, passing my knowledge is what the Championship Rockets learned. Like when Sam Cassell taught the Clippers how to play like a team, or when Robert Horry taught the Lakers about clutch shooting at the end of games.. what do we all have in common in this cruel cruel world? we enjoy watch the Rockets, and what not better way to watch the Rocket than in the comfort of your own home with friends and Clear Crisp Picture. Maybe the Rockets will hire back Calvin Murphy, so we can see his wardrobe in the fine High Def Glory! Teamwork, when you need someone to lean on.
