Hmm, well, it does come off like you're trying to absolve everyone of responsibility for everything. We should forgive pedophiles because they were traumatized? But I do think that "good" and "evil" are pretty much meaningless as categories. Every action that anyone ever does is "good" for them. The act of a pedophile abusing a child is somehow "good" for the pedophile, because he/she thinks the pleasure attained outweighs the damage and abuse done to the child. If the equation didn't come out to a net "good," then the person doesn't do it. So I think you would have to come up with very specific criteria for "good" and "evil" to even begin this discussion. But even if you could come to some agreement, I'm not sure there are any absolutes there.
