Are Nine Days and Two Pre-Season Games Enough?

    I think Steve started right off the bat. At that time we had Mobley play the point and Dickerson at the SG. Mobley slid over to SG upon Francis' arrival, so there's no other starter material pg to start over Francis. Brent Price starting over Francis? I don't think so.

    You know what? I think he was injured! I wanna say he missed the first game or so due to an ankle injury????????


    Somebody help us out here.

    I know Mobley didnt start right away. I think Matt Maloney did. Rudy I believe started working him into the startling lineup after Cuttino hit that game winning shot at GS. I remember that was early in the season too. Not bad for a 2nd round pick who supposedly wouldnt amount to much.

    Steve started from day one and got schooled by his buddy Sam Cassell in his first game.

    I think Steve was burned big time by a couple of other point guards to start the season. I cant think of names though.

    Talking about Sam Cassel schooling Francis brought me back some old memories, such as Gary Payton and Vernon Maxwell got under Steve's skin in his first(?) preseason game as a Rocket, in which he was starting.

    Vernon Maxwell made a career out of getting under people's skin ........classis jerk
