    Houston is too safe, especially when it comes to buildings. developers come here and lay down whatever they please. I think the 80's era was best for original archeticture here in Houston. Those bridges are freaking awesome! Location?

    Afraid of offending the conservative honks who run this place. Houston's only decent architecture has come from the late Phillip Johnson (Pennzoil, Bank of America, Williams, St. Thomas) Renzo (Menil) and Mies (MoFA).

    Taniguchi's Asia House is the first major building here since God knows when.

    The new MFAH building complex from Steven Holl will classify as well. His proposal wasn't my favourite of the final three, but it will definitely be something to talk about within the city and he is a big enough name.
