Not even sure if he declares after this season, but I think he's the most promising wing prospect in the NCAA, regardless of class. He's 6'5'' with long arms, jaw-dropping athleticism, and a smooth offensive game.

Kentucky won't be anywhere close to the team they were last year, so he may get overlooked amidst other storylines, most notably a very young, somewhat entitled group of HS AAs playing sloppy ball and feeling the wrath of Cal.

Also, I think Nerlens Noel will disappoint. He's an impressive defender, but he'll drown beneath the Ant Davis comparisons. What made Davis so special as a frosh was his feel for the game. He grew up a guard, and had a unique combination of skills - ran like a gazelle, had soft hands & nice touch, and unmatched court awareness for an 18-year-old big. Noel's much clumsier, and will struggle to find his way.

But, Goodwin has the look of a special player. Joe Johnson-like fluidity and stroke w/ some freakish abilities of Andre Iggy.

A preview of things to come...
