I agree, they should fight it all the way. But going out in front of the media to make a mockery of what took place isn't the best way to do it. By 'play the game', I meant just take care of business in the court of law and I think they have a good chance of prevailing.

It's a no win situation for Boston. They're ridiculed for going overboard, but if they took it lightly and something happened, they would get reamed. I love all the Monday Morning Quarterbacking. Also, these idiots were putting those things up on personal property, bridges, and subway areas. With the subway bombings in London, Madrid, and India, who wants to take a chance. If terrorist were leaving bombs, the bomb like devices wouldn't say TNT on them or be a big black bowling ball with a fuse. I guess this is the price we pay in the new world of fear.
