Well, i think it's difficult to name lesser players to have won the mvp award. Maybe AI and Dirk, everyone else seems have clearly had better careers...yet Nash won it twice.

Nash= one of the most overrated players ever.

C'mon, "one of the most...ever?" that's ridiculous. Phenomenal passer, shooter (from the 3, free throw line, and everywhere else), and clutch player. Average to below-average defensive player (like Barkley, Dominique Wilkins, and other greats).

Kidd- love Kidd's passing, rebounding, and defense. But his career-long poor shooting has hampered many of the teams he's played with. As much as he's contributed to teams through playmaking, like Nash, he's been a detriment on the scoring end (as Nash has been on the defensive end). But both are great players.

Every single player who has won the MVP Award was a great player for that year and deserving of the award. Matter of fact, I think almost everyone who's won the award is hall-of-fame worthy, right? AI, Duncan, Malone, Shaq, Kobe, Robinson, Jordan, Hakeem, Barkley, Nash, etc.

...but nash has 2 mvp's. There's a difference between very good (like Nash and Kidd are) and 2 time mvp good.

...and i think you're kidding yourself if you think Nash is even close to average defensively but obviously that is very subjective so i won't argue that.
I don't think everyone that wins it is deserving and I don't think he, AI, and dirk deserve to be put in the same class as the others...probably HOFers but i don't think they should be 1st ballot HOFers.

Suns pretty much have the same record with Alvin Gentry that they did with Terry Porter, even slightly worse % wise
    Gentry: 14-12, .538 %
    Porter: 28-23, .549 %

Though its more Amare being out thats hurt the Suns.

How many games did it take for Kidd to achieve this feat? Did he get there quicker than Magic?

The Jazz offense looks very crisp, like they are playing at home. They might break the road losing streak against West playoff teams tonight.

The Hornets didn't show up in the 1st quarter. 41-19 Jazz. If the Hornets didn't have only 28 losses, I'd say they were also a candidate for finishing in 8th place.

Nah. The Jazz will give almost all of it back if the Hornets act like they want this game. Just give it time.

It's only a 1st quarter lead. These early blowouts tend to even out by HT.

As much I hate the Jazz, a Hornets loss would really be helpful right now so it's a win-win situation. NO is riight behind us.

What gives? The Jazz lose at home to the Wolves and go out on the road and are destroying a team with a winning record. Granted it's the inconsistent Hornets, but they're up 27.

The hope is that the Jazz drop to 8th. It looks like the Hornets are done for tonight.
