21 useless debates and we still hear the same Obama speak and Hillary lines. After 21 debates it's obvious about one thing - NEITHER candidate can close the deal on the Democratic party or the American People. It is going to be a celebrity death match at the Dem convention for sure.

This campaign is quickly turning into a big messy PR disaster for the dems.

You'd think that since Obama did so poorly in the last debate, that Obama would be jumping at a chance to redeem himself. Obama simply doesn't want another asskicking.

Exactly. You'd think he'd try to redeem himself, but instead he's going with the "prevent defense"

I'm torn on this one. I agree that they've had enough debates. Especially since they're in agreement on almost every issue.

That said, a Lincoln-Douglas style debate would be fun. And it would likely highlight how ineffective Obama is without a teleprompter in front of him or softball questions being lobbed(which was the case til the ABC debate).

That's probably why he's backing down from Hillary's challenge.

I think we need another debate to get to the bottom of the most pressing issues of the day.

The problem with saying "they've had enough debates" is that the people of Indiana and North Carolina are only now really getting into the process, and local issues in those states have not been addressed fully in prior debates. Obama is a coward for running from Hillary and not debating her in these states

Except for the previous 21 debates they've had.

I love that comic strip. I go straight to it every Thursday when a new Austin Chronicle comes out.

Honestly what are you going to get out of another debate with the same exact questions?

more local specific questions for the voters in Indiana and North Carolina. Also a discussion of recent news items

Obama just wants to take his sham caucus results (hey, we're louder and younger, so we win!) and play prevent defense

Awesome. bigtexxx believes the Democrats should hold at least 50 debates -- one for each state. I wonder if they're supposed to go to Guam and PR too.

Send the safeties deep! We've got to protect our lead with the prevent defense!

One of you Obama supporters need to explain why Obama doesn't want to debate after getting schooled last time. I see you guys are ignoring that question. You'd think he'd want to redeem himself. You would also think you folks would want him to do it since you're supporting him while he's running from Hillary and that makes you look bad too.

If he's such a good candidate, he should be able to hold his own in a debate.
