I didn't call him a fanboy in the other thread you dillrod we were discussing differences. I understand it becomes increasingly difficult to explain to the world why you pay more for less because of a logo but hey one man's trash.... As for why I'm in here ItsMyFault jumped into the android thread exclaiming "should of bought an iPhone" I came here to explain to him what a moron he was for buying something so overpriced and underpowered. Is that all you Apple jock rockers have to defend yourselves and purchases with? Lol pretty sad. As for Danny Most's point by point rebuttal. I don't think I actually see any real argument that rebuff why the Evo isn't better. I'd like to go point by point and laugh at each one but ill start with the argument about using a smaller screen. Let me ask you this: when you purchased your large screen tv did you start by asking the rep, "can I get the most mediocre sized tv for the same price as the largest one with better hardware. On top of it let me get the one where I have to pay much more for my cable service than the better one with the larger screen." Of course you didn't want he larger screen, because Apple didn't make it so. So what your trying to sell every one here on is that IF Apple put the larger screen on the new iPhone you obviously wouldn't of bought it. Ok then.
I like the interface, reliability, ease of use, customer service, and look/feel of the iPhone more than other phones. It's a better phone to me. That's all that matters to the purchaser. You can throw out tech specs all you want, but in the end, those don't make for the best user experience.
i dont get the apple hate....i think you're underestimating the "ease of use" factor of the iphone. thats a huge selling point, personally why i went with an iphone, that and i was already on ATT eligible for an upgrade. the android phones look great, and as a tech/gadget type of guy, im sure i'd enjoy it as well, but its just a cell phone. i dont need to overclock/hack android OS and a lot of the other stuff that comes with android. i just want a phone that has great internet for light internet use and some apps. honestly i think the ad's apple runs gets a lot of people too. the facetime ad's ive seen seem cheesy, but most ipod and other commercials are pretty damn good. but from the arguments i've seen throughout this thread about android vs apple it almost seems like the android people are jumping up and down screaming like a kid because no one is paying them any attention. there are some good points, but whatever apple is doing seems to be working. i dont think people are helping sell android devices by just trashing iphone.
I'm not looking to carry a television in my pocket...so no, having a bigger screen size isn't important to me because the screen and resolution on the current phone is more than enough.
I should apologize for my tone with you DM, it was rude. I am not an android only fanboys, I am a superior product fanboy, I ripped the Droid X for its feel and clunky UI. I actually dislike many offerings that are android to include my first android purchase which was the g1. I don't even hate Apple as a company as I believe they are a leader in the business and brought the smartphone business where it is today. Again, I came in this thread to give ItsMyFault a taste of his own medicine. Still though I will apologize to DM.
Yes HALF. No, I don't want a higher resolution front and rear camera. I don't give a **** about the camera. If I want an awesome camera, I'll go purchase one. Yes, I do actually.... because I believe FaceTime is pretty awesome. They'll add 3G later on, plus I can use Fring if I really wanted to do it over 3G.... but I don't really use FaceTime that much. What the hell are you talking about with paying for more? I can bet you my ****ing life's savings that I'd pay a **** loads less with AT&T than with Sprint. I had sprint for almost 6 years... or so... all they did was charge with BS every month and couldn't explain why. I was paying for **** that was randomly added to my monthly account. That's the main reason I switched from Sprint to AT&T... it wasn't because of the iPhone. I was tired of Sprint and their antics and I needed a new phone... and I don't regret switching. I don't know what you mean by capped.... but I have the unlimited plan. If there's a cap on that... so be it. It doesn't effect me, never has, so it probably never will. Again... IT DOESN'T APPLY TO ME. I've always gotten a case for my iPhone... since I've had an iPhone.... nothing different about having a bumper (although I'm getting a case). And even then... if I didn't have a case, I've had no problems whatsoever with the signal since I got the phone on June 23rd. So in summary, the bull **** that you typed up doesn't apply to me. Find something better to do than to troll a thread.
Anyone check their free bumper order status as of late? From what I have heard they've shipped out a lot for those in the UK and people in the US are just seeing the "Ready for Shipment" status as their order status. I ordered on the 23rd at around 8:00 AM. I'm ready to get this thing so it doesn't come in AFTER I leave Houston.
LOL what a douchebag. You moron you jumped into the Android thread first trolling. That makes you a moron. You actually want to deny the fact that Sprint is cheaper than ATT really? Must I really post some charts up for you? Is it genuinely seen by iPhone users that ATT is cheaper that Sprint? Wheres that picture showing Jobs showing that the iP4 actually drops more calls than the 3gs. Data caps effect anyone who has one. Doesn't matter if you haven't reached your limit once yet, it is something that you CAN go over on and pay for, unless your gradfathered in, still it effects those who do have it. You don't understand this really? If you don't want better hardware (camera) then why are you buy a phone that has anything on it at all. On one hand you tout how awesome facetime is, but then you don't care if it has a decent camera for it. As for using Fring, they just deleted Skype so and have a horrible sound quality issue that they are aware of so let me know how that works out for you. You = if apple put a stick figure for the picture you would state its more than good enough. Of course its "more than good enough" but if it had a 50 mp camera you sure would be happier right? You lost me on the fact that you couldnt understand your own phone bill. Half that bull**** that I posted does pertain to you, you just are either embarrassed or live in apple denial.
Don't even bother. You're talking to a pathetic iPhone fanboyism to the extreme. If you slabbed the Apple logo on the Evo and put IOS on it. He will say the Evo the greatest phone ever...The guy is a hypocrite and lying his ass off. Guys like him give Apple a bad name.
Alright, I gotta question guys, and it might've been asked but I haven't seen it so far. I went to AT&T today looking to upgrade my iphone to 32gb, as I need more space for some tv shows, and the guy said getting MobileMe would be the better choice, instead of waiting until they recieved more 32gb's, which will take about two to three weeks. So my question is which option should I choose? Get the MobileMe program to put the tv shows on the 20gb "cloud" or wait until they get more iphones in stock so I can just upgrade to the 32gb.
Isn't MobileMe like $99 a year? You wanna pay $99 a year or $99 extra for the 32Gb phone? My understanding is MobileMe is basically a solution to back up and sync your data to cloud storage via the web and access your iphone data from a browser...along with a service which can find/disable your iphone if lost. If you find those features useful, then go for it.
random, but the new iMacs were announced today. They are being sold now, right? Also, any thoughts/ reviews? I think I will be getting one.
What android thread did I jump into? If you're referring to this thread, it wasn't an Android thread. Yes, I may have made a mistake in not reading his first line where he said he wouldn't switch carriers... but in no way was that trolling... unlike your posts here. This thread is really there for iPhone info... you came in like an idiot and posted your opinion where it didn't belong.
