If you're looking for the cheapest way, just order it from Ebay, then go to best buy and usually they'll install it for free. It's what I did and it was quite a bit cheaper than if I bought it from a retail IS place.
Yeah it was at Irvine Spectrum right across from Apple Store. I have done it this way for years but honestly the way that these guy put these shields on really leaves no room for error. I paid 48 bucks for it to have the full phone covered. Front, Back, and the sides. On top of that they warranty the shield lifetime. So if you get any bubbles, peeling etc they give you a new cover completely. The first time I had it done there was a black spot under the shield and yesterday I walked back in and they completely put on a full set instead of just changing out the front. I should take pictures to show how well they do it. You can't even tell it's on there.
I grabbed that as well. I considered a bumper, but meh I'd rather have at least the whole back glass covered.
apple has gone insane with the comparisons. now they have posted 2 more videos of other smartphones including the droid x with the antenna problem. the weird part is no one holds their phone like that.
Because you like having to buy a bumper to keep signal? Because you prefer a vga front facing camera, that you can only use over WiFi? Because you like a smaller screen? Because you like having to restart you apps when you switch between multitasks? Because you like not being able to connect as many devices via hotspot? Because you dont like a full internet experience? Without flash? Because you like not having the ability to customize your homescreens with widgets? Because you like a data cap? Because you prefer to pay more for your services? Because you ing like the ability to run custom roms it iverclock I'll give you that you do have a nice looking screen. More apps ( even though all the good ones are in android also) and apples nice logo?
While iPhone has a faster processor and higher resolution, I think the Evo is a better phone. Better network Bigger screen (while resolution is lower, 480p isn't pixelated) Better OS (iOS is boring as hell) Better cameras (and ability to make video calls to more than just iP4 users) I would take the upcoming Samsung Epic over both: 4" Super AMOLED screen Slightly faster processor than iPhone4 Has everything iPhone4 has including front camera and gyroscope Full QWERTY keyboard Android OS iPhone, checkmate.
It has to do with preference. I prefer the iPhone 4 over the Evo. Just because it may have better hardware around it doesn't mean it's a better fit for me.. Half the bull **** you posted there doesn't even apply to me.
Half? Really? You don't like having a higher resolution front and rear camera? You prefer to only use your front camera with only other iphone users and only over wifi as opposed to b eingable to use it over multiple platforms overy 3 g? But yet you bought a ohone with both cameras. You prefer to pay more for you services and to be capped for paying more? I guess if you, really like having to use a bumper to get normal signal, then so be it. But really, half of what I listed? I could understand running custom roms or overclocking, but the rest you cant be serious about.
Apparently very few people have this problem. So, generalization fail. Huh? The front facing camera is only operable in FaceTime? News to me. And how can you possibly blame Apple for the restrictions on video calls? There's other factors at play here. Networks and other device makers, specifically. Where is your scorn for them in not having the bandwidth and hardware to work optimally with video calling? Someone really needs a bigger screen than that? Really? Maybe if you're one of the Golden Girls. The iPhone's zooming/viewing features are top notch, so that kind of makes "screen size", as ridiculous of an argument as it is, basically moot. Since when did iPhone 4 not have multitasking? How many devices does someone need to connect to? Maybe a router and another phone, at best? That's a really super picky niche thing. Doesn't seem to bother the massive amount of iPhone users. Me included. The iPad not having it, however, is kinda lame. And considering the iPhone's internet browsing and controls are stellar, the lack of flash is very well compensated for. LOL. OK, oh noes. I can't has widgets? That's a deal breaker for sure. iPhone's home screen is customizable enough for most. I like the simplicity and lack of clutter, personally. Once again, not Apple's fault. But AT&T is right, the vast majority of users don't bust their cap. I'm in the minority, where I may go over, so I'm keeping my unlimited data. Once again, not an Apple problem. AT&T charges out the butt because they can. People love the iPhone and rightfully so AT&T gets to take advantage of that. Who the hell needs to overclock their phone? No offense, but you're not Apple's target market. You're obviously more concerned with having the most features and the best hardware available rather than with ease of use, user experience, and customer service (although I can't say I have experienced CS with other phones in a while, I hated it when I was using them). You're not meant to like the iPhone, so don't lose sleep over the fact that people like a phone that is "technically" inferior to something else. People can glean value from other things in their technology shopping.
Apple is going way overboard. Instead of saying we screwed up and giving everyone a case they are having this absurd campaign showing all the other phones are bad as well, like a five year child saying well bill did it.
I think it's funny that Apple is the Evil Empire now that they're the #1 tech company. Just a few short years ago they were the media darling. Just goes to show that no matter who you are, when you're number one, you have a target on your back.
Well, doesn't it make sense to point out that every phone has this issue if people are trying to dog your product? Kind of absolves Apple of wrong-doing if they made a product that is basically in compliance with the industry in terms of reception. Makes it look like a non-issue, which, turns out, it pretty much is.
Holy crap. I need to start a business of installing these things. lol. Isn't this just the 3M film you apply with soap and water solution? Why are you guys covering it? Doesn't it have that gorilla glass or whatever on it?
They were and still are the media darling up until this antenna-gate issue. Business media, news media, etc. all fawn over Apple. I think it's more that Apple is now among the biggest companies in tech and are experiencing growing pains that every company has and will experience. They'll start experiencing the same things Microsoft has in the past. They're already getting harped on for the security holes in their software. As they gain market share, that more than likely will get worse. It's to be expected. It happened to Microsoft, it happened to Google, it'll happen with Apple.
By golly, we got us a full blown gosh darned Android fanboy! Hot damn. lol When he tried to call DoD an Apple fanboy in one of the Android threads I knew this dude wouldn't be able to help himself for long. I hope Bebop goes hardcore Windows phone 7 and talks crap about Android so they can rant at each other.
