Yeah, I wonder if they knew about the problem because they created that bumper case. Um, I provided a solution. You're in here b****ING about it when you don't even have the phone. Obviously my phone has the same problem as everyone else's because it's the same phone. You should do everyone a favor and leave this thread. You have posted nothing productive in here.
You gotta call Apple Care.... and you have to work with it. Don't ask them for it... but tell them about the reception issues, get a supervisor on the line... and eventually they'll give you the case. It's not officially out to give for free.... but they can if it's causing your phone problems.
So are most of you guys actually having reception problems with the phone or is it something cosmetic as was thought earlier?
I personally tried that and they wouldn't budge and give me one for free. I personally have not dropped a call and I have used it plenty since getting it and have held it every which way.
At times, I've had it completely go to "searching" and then have not been able to use the phone, but when I get down to 1 bar, the call doesn't drop. It's odd really...
I have the case on it now, but for a couple days, I didnt have the case on...a few times I noticed only having 1 bar, but it never caused any problems with phone calls. In fact, if anything, I have noticed that I have yet to drop a call with this phone, whereas it was almost a daily thing with my previous iPhone.
I went to Best Buy to get my case and screen protector. I'm having issues with the range on my Jawbone. The range with the phone is around 5-10 feet for me. One it disconnects and reconnects the person I'm talking to says it's much harder to hear me. I have to hang up and call them back. Wondering if anyone else is having this problem?
So there are accessories on eBay already? I haven't gotten the phone yet but I'm trying to get all this other stuff out of the way as I will get the phone, hopefully this week.
Well not necessarily eBay. There are sites such as mygearstore.com and case websites such as speck, case-mate, incase, and griffin that all sell cases for cheaper than Apple and AT&T stores do. Plus, there's always coupons around the internet and deals online... the bumper case isn't really a good case though it's better than nothing. But no way that thing is worth anything more than $10.
