I've been hearing that Apple stores and AT&T stores are getting new shipments of iPhones everyday? Does anybody know if third parties like Walmart, Radio Shack, and Best Buy are too or are their shipments being diverted to the Apple and AT&T stores to fulfill orders? I asked the woman at Walmart and she said she didn't know but she put me down on a list for when they get more in.
i doubt thats actually steve jobs...have seen that floated around a few other sites...you think jobs would actually respond to some random persons e-mail? and not only that, respond with that knowing it would get out onto the net?
Yup you are correct. The guy has made it clear that he does answer emails. Of course he probably answers worthy questions but it's pretty nice.
I'm pretty sure the Apple Store has always done that. AT&T won't sell it to you for retail, because it's not their phone. Apple priced the non-contract price so high ($699+tax for the 32GB), because they know it will be very difficult for resellers to make a significant amount of profit over the $800 they paid.
They only had enough units for pre orders and yesterday's sale. The next batch is not going to be coming out for a while so that is why everyone is trying to buy them on eBay or Craig's list at the moment. Yeah they apple store does not take cash. The only way to use cash is to take cash in there put it on an Apple Gift Card and purchase what you want to if I am not mistaken.
so i went to the apple store in the galleria today to check out the antenna issue. sure enough if u hold it like a normal phone it loses signal and you can't access any web pages etc. i asked the genius person there and she goes oh ya..thats a known issue..there are cases for it. i dont get that logic. u lure people in with the sleek glossy look and when u take it home u have to wrap it with a rubber case for everyday use. so when do i ever get to see the sleek look agian? before i sell it?
Apparently the fix is on it's way through software, which personally I don't get if it's a hardware issue. At least the bumper they made will allow you to see the sleek front and back of the phone. I personally love the stainless steel but would hate for it be scratched cause I'm picky like that so a case over that part would be fine by me.
i thought it was just a cosmetic thing. people arent getting dropped calls and such. i'm gonna be waiting to see if theres a fix for this issue before i buy an iphone
That is what has been said on sites here and there and they say they will be releasing a patch for it. I guess I should try making a call with my headphones on hold it that way and see if it effects anything because that is the real test. It can show 1 bar all day as long as I am able to make calls.

The signal thing is a major problem. Apple needs to do a recall. Forget accessory solutions to a huge problem. Easily fixed with a case does not make everything better. My fiancee and I have been waiting for the white iphone to release. This would be our first iphone. Now, I'm thinking we need to put that off
