Yeah... I didn't expect the amount of people to pre-order as they did tonight with the unusual timing. I think they did a poor job of this whole thing. First not having the white, now the AT&T/Apple servers being slow. AT&T's site is working fine now though if you want to try that.
man i was up at 240am. i should have preordered via att site. The site is down now with an error message as is apples site.
Yeah, the Apple site tells me I may qualify for the $199 price on June 30 so I guess I am waiting 2 weeks. Oh well, it's not that long.
AT&T's site didn't list it up until about 4 AM CST. This whole pre-order thing has been a mess since it started at 3....
I just tried to upgrade but it won't let me pass the page where it asks if I'm an existing or new att customer. I don't know if it's my outdated browser at work or what.
That's whack, thanks though. Does anyone know if apart from the pre-orders will they have iphone 4s for sale on the day of at the stores.
Oddly enough, Apple just released an Apple Store app (free, or course) and you can pre-order from there as well. I'm still not having any luck...probably just try again later.
FYI, if you guys are trying on the site and get pretty far in the process when it times out, check your Cart. It might show up there and let you finalize/checkout at that point.
The furthest I've been able to get on Apple's website is the screen that checks my AT&T records to make sure my phone eligible for the upgrade.
Yeah that might not be far enough. Process is like this pick preorder check AT&T eligibility confirm phone choice checkout I got to the confirm phone choice and it would sit there and time out. It showed up in cart though. I was able to hover over cart symbol in upper tight and press a checkout button that popped up. Paid and finalized there
Somehow I got through the reservation and without picking a new data plan and text messaging, I was told "see you at the store" We'll see how my experience goes on the 24th at Apple...
I'm fairly sure that the issue is with ATT's validation servers getting hammered. If you want to order as a NEW customer, the preorder link is working. NEW Customers Only.
i am just going to wait till tomorrow or thursday to do all this i am sure all their servers are getting hit hard if I have to wait an extra day or two to get my phone no biggie
For those of you still having trouble reserving/preorder iphone 4, go download apple store app using your iphone and reserve from there. I just got mine reserved a few mins ago.
