I've only gone over 100mb once in the last 6 months... doubt too many more times than that over the last couple years. still kind of hesitant about giving up the unlimited plan until I spend a few months with the new iphone and any potential bandwidth hogging apps.
Yeah, I think anyone who currently has the unlimited plan should keep it for a month after their purchase of the iPhone 4 to see how much bandwidth you'll be using exactly. You can expect developers to make some high-end apps for this new iPhone since it has all of these new qualities.
So I have a BB and the unlimited data and texting package with it on AT&T. Will this just carry over after the iPhone purchase even though it is a different phone or will my bill go up.
Yeah you should be alright. Just expect an $18 activation fee for the iPhone 4 once you get it. I believe it usually goes on the bill, but it's just a one-time fee. EDIT: I take that back, I think that's only for people who upgrade. Sorry.
There's supposed to be $18 activation fee when you activate your iPhone on iTunes. It's usually charged on your AT&T bill, but from what I've just read, some people get it and some people don't. I'm not sure what the difference between that and the "upgrade" fee is. From what I remember when I activated my iPhone 3Gs, I got billed $18 for activating my iPhone. http://forum.tipb.com/iphone-ipad-carriers-plans/191175-iphone-4-pre-order-t-18-upgrade-fee.html This is currently what I see under my upgrade status for my number.
So you're saying there is a chance I get charged this upgrade/activation fee and there is a chance I am not going to be charged at all, right?
Yes because people have reported it happen both ways. Just letting you know so you're aware of it. Sorry for the confusion.
No need to be sorry, I very much appreciate your assistance. I am sorry for all the questions. Thanks again!
Sure, no problem. Well, looks like Radio Shack, Best Buy, and Walmart will have pre-orders on the iPhone 4 also on June 15th as someone pointed out earlier in the thread. I wouldn't expect any shortages on this thing on launch day and beyond. http://mygadgetnews.com/2010/06/12/best-buy-radio-shack-wal-mart-also-to-sell-iphone-4-on-june-24/
I really, REALLY wish the iPhone could have every phone company as a carrier. I'm tired of my phone (HTC Wing), but I have T-Mobile. An iPhone would be awesome, but I may have to settle for like, the Nexus One? (Although the NO is a pretty good phone).
I'm scared to death that the 4G iPhone won't ever get tethering unlocked for unlimited data users. So scared that I'm considering waiting to upgrade until a working hack gets released. I do NOT want to re-up for 2 years with AT&T knowing that I may move in the next 8 months and could wind up in a place with crap coverage. Plus, my cell phone bill is 100 bucks a month... this thing is bleeding me dry. I don't know what the cheapest phone plan + unlimited data is for T-Mobile, but I know its cheaper than this.
I think this is probably best though I do think the hack will be released sooner rather than later. There's going to be a high demand for it, and 3.1.3 was unlocked in February. They're going to release that soon after the iPhone 4 comes out, I just think the same will happen with iOS 4. I'm still on the border on whether I should sell it or keep it though.
Nah. It wasn't something really expletive that I edited. Just wanted to out of my own courtesy. http://gizmodo.com/5561351/the-iphone-4-retina-display-controversy?skyline=true&s=i Found that pretty interesting.
Guessed you're the Biggest Apple Fanboy troll. So anyone who thinks another products is better than Apple is a troll to you.
