BTW, for those who think Apple has a monopoly on insufferable owners, Android forums are just as bad. I've been hanging out in them in anticipation of my Incredible, but I don't think I'll be sticking around for long. I'm just looking for some tips and advice, I don't want to hear people compensating for their small penis syndrome and constantly making new threads about why the EVO, iPhone, etc sucks.
I second that. Every announcement I see about this phone getting an update to Froyo or this new phone being released with 2.2, there are MotoBlur users in there hollering about how they are still waiting on their update from 1.6 to 2.1.
For the record: I work for verizon wireless. I will be purchasing this phone. at&t sucks, but I've been using an iphone for awhile now and I love it. with that said, the entire droid line of phones is fantastic. the *only* reason I'm getting this new phone is because of the screen resolution. it's THAT good. I wish it was larger to at least make it somewhat closer in line with the evo (4.3") or nexus/incredible (3.7"). I can live with that for the increase in res, however.
If you work for Verizon you would know they have two sexy phones coming out this/next month right? Droid Xtreme (Shadow) and Droid 2 or what not.....
Agreed. It's quite sad, actually. I've seen grown men that I work with almost come to blows over their phones, gaming systems, etc. I totally understand adopting a cause...but really? The whole concept of being a "fanboy" is just pathetic.
I find this to be a hypocrite. Same thing is happening in the NBA Dish and GARM and just because this isn't anything to do with the basketball doesn't mean it's any different.
I find this to be a lolwut. As for iphone4, I can't help but think that updated skype will be using that camera as well and I'd guess that could go iphone to computer or vice versa? Probably still only wifi, but that part doesn't bother me so much. I know, I know. It bothers Cowbeboy that they're even putting conferencing on there... of course I bet if I searched he's on the record saying it is inferior because they don't have it. Just a guess.
I essentially was comparing it to devices that are commercially available right now. If you really think I would bother lying about working for a company, I have some beautiful seaside property in Galveston for you to purchase as well. Both of those phones will be fantastic, but they still do not have a resolution anywhere near the Iphone 4. Literacy will do you wonders.
You do realize that the human eye probably cannot differentiate between the screen on the Incredible and the new Iphone 4G? They both offer excellent displays but it is almost like purchasing a 1080p 32in LCD, which is pointless.....
Have you seen the phone in person? If not, don't speculate. They're advertising print level quality on the screen. You do not see that on ANY other phone on the market. Multiple techblogs are reporting it's the best screen they've ever seen as well.
Of course I havent seen it in person, but its almost common sense. A screen of the size of the Incredible or Iphone will not take take advantage of that resolution. Its the same concept as a 32in 1080p LCD not looking any better than a 720p 32in LCD. The new iPhone screen maybe better in terms of offering better viewing angles, color accuracy, and battery life, but I can almost bet anything that text wise it will not look any better than that of the Incredible.
Fanboys are the insufferable ones, whether their fans of the iPhone, Android, webOS, Windows Mobile, Symbian, RIM, whatever. I think it's just that Apple had the most fanboy types whereas other operating system users were pretty objective... but Android is starting to get a very ravenous fanboy base these days, too.
Not quite. You're comparing apples to oranges. You typically view a television from nearly 10' away. You view your phone from maybe a foot or less. Think about it.
